Forest nursery in Edinburgh?
Can anyone recommend any please? My wee one is only 8 months so it wouldn’t be until he’s 3 but I’m hearing stories of folk having to apply when they are pregnant?
We are Corstorphine based so first thoughts were Corstorphine hill forest kindergarten!
Would love to hear of others experience please :)
I don't have a recommendation as I'm in the process of searching for a nursery myself. However I would recommend you give the nurseries your interested in a call as all nurseries are different. I think waiting times for bigger kids (over 2 year olds) are generally less because class groups and staff ratios are bigger so they can accommodate more children than in the 0-2 age group. In my current search I have come across: a nursery with availability now, one with no availability whatsoever because their waiting list is too long already, one that won't take any applications for children starting before next year but will consider putting you on waiting list for January 2025 and a nursery that doesn't take any applications until 6 months before the child is meant to start nursery. (This is for 0-2 group though) So I think it's worth calling them up and chatting directly to the places you like about their waiting times and when is best to sign up, as well as scheduling a visit.
