Please send help 🤣 I’m always calm, but his recent tantrums trigger me so badly and I have no idea why. I can usually sing a nursery rhyme or grab the nearest book (well this has been working so far) but the last two weeks he’s full blown losing it, falling to the floor banging his head and jumping up and down like a lunatic screaming 🥴 I just don’t know how much to leave him to it/step in? What to say? Distraction isn’t working and neither is wheels on the bus anymore 🤣 any advice is welcome! Thank you in advance!

When my boy loses it, I sing The Bondaries Song that's done by hopscotch and modify the words to fit the situation. It works for us as my boy grasps the basics of the song. "Please stop. I don't like that. Don't hit mummy, please use gentle hands" for instance. 🤣 I probably look and sound like an absolute mentalist when we're out, but it's stopped so many tantrums mid flow, as he then finishes the song off for me.
love this 🤣 I also look like a mentalist with the nursery rhymes especially in the middle of Tesco 🤣 thank you!! The phrases are useful too!
I totally know what you mean! I’ve raised my voice twice whilst he was mid tantrum as he hurt me and once when he was about to really hurt himself but like you said he just got worse. It’s so difficult 🥹
