Bump small

Its a growth scan! They just measure the baby for more accurate measurement. I had it myself at 29 weeks! They thought baby was bigger as measured 2xs big? But on scan i measured in range! They said it can be down to position of baby, placenta, fat buts its not accurate any way? I seen it as i way to see more of my baby till there born! I will have 2 more i think before baby is here.

I’m currently going through this. At 28 weeks midwife appointment, bump was measuring small so I was referred for a scan where bump was still small so they booked another scan which I have on Wednesday.

A lot of people have said that bump measurements by midwives can be really off so try not to worry at this stage until you’ve had your scan x

I’m hoping because my bump was measured by a different midwife this is why there is a difference. Did it take long for your scan to come through? X

Tbh that could be the reason. Hopefully it is!! I think they have to see you for a growth scan within 72 hours. I was referred on a Monday and got a call on Wednesday asking for me to come in that day so it’s really quick x

I had my scan a few days later! The measurements wont always be accurate! Like i said my baby was measurements where coming up big but i barley look pregnant even though im 32 wks.

okay, thank you. Do you get a lot of comments on your bump? I think it’s not helping so many people tell me I don’t look as pregnant as I am and that gets me down too xx

I have measured small since the beginning but I have been told it is because I am tall and was very skinny before I got pregnant ❔❕

Yeah i do! I lost a stone as well being sick! Ive literally put on about 6lbs my whole pregnancy but still lighter before i was pregnancy! It dosnt really affect me as i know some people dont like it. I have pcos so i thought i would balloon bcos i struggled to lose weight so im happy to not gain really. Im starting to get abit bigger now bump wise.
