My 6 week old refuses to sleep or stay asleep. He will fall asleep in our arms and the second we put him down he’s wide awake. Or he will sleep for 30 minutes and wake up and fight us when we try to put him to sleep. Anyone else going through something similar? Any advice on what to do?

Try laying him on his side, I had to do that with my son. If that doesn’t work take a blanket and roll it up and put it between his arms and legs so it feels like he’s being held. I also do this with my son.

So I seen a video that we have done ever since and it helps
Never wait for them to fully fall asleep, as they get set down the Moro reflex is almost inevitable and even a small one can wake them up. Always set them down while drowsy and don’t immediately set on back!
Lay on their side then slowly and gently roll them onto their back. If your little one likes laying on their side, you can even leave them to roll on their own (which is what we do for our 6 week old). Works 9/10 times and has saved us so much sanity since we started about a week ago.

I had the same issue, I'm breast feeding and my daughter wants to be close to me to settle so I've now got her into a routine of laying her on her side in my bed cozy while stroking her head untill she falls asleep.
I sometimes put he rin the crib but other times leave her on my mattress with no bedding or pillows just a holy blanket at the side of me as I'm fully aware she's there at all times xx

I been up all night with me 5 week old very similar situation

She has finally been asleep for 2 hours but if I try to fall asleep now I feel like she will wake up

I’ve heard babies can have an early sleep regression mine is the same age doing the same thing. Swaddling helps but if he isn’t crying then I leave him alone

Mine is doing the same. It can be maddening lol. She was doing alright but the last week has been horrible. She is starting to sleep more during the day...
