My 3 year old isn’t too well, horrible cold and a temperate. Can I give him some of my breastmilk….? Will that help him. Or not? Currently feeding his 11 week old sister

As you aren’t feeding him it won’t have the healing properties he needs. Lots of rest and calpol is best x

Yes you can as it contains antibodies x

Your breast milk is being designed daily by your body for your newborn’s needs, including your antibodies. For the 3 year old, it’s just milk. Calpol, rest, cuddles x

I’ve definitely read before that it’s still beneficial for them

Yes, it won’t be as beneficial as it is for your newborn but even kissing your toddler you’d sample the pathogens on his skin and it sends signals to make milk with antibodies etc for him still. So 100% try! There’s no harm in it
