My little one is going to be 11 weeks on Saturday. He goes to sleep between 8-9pm and wakes around 1-2 for a bottle. After this his sleep is pretty rubbish, may sleep for an hour or two then is up and always making noise / unsettled at 5am but not hungry when offered another bottle. Am I doing something wrong or should I be doing something else? Thank you x

It’s normal for babies to wake through the night until 3yo and sometimes even later.
They’ve spent 9 months inside the mother’s body and they are not used to the outside world.
Also, waking through the night is a defensive mechanism against sids.
You’re not doing anything wrong and there’s nothing wrong in your newborn.

You might be already doing these things but what helped for us is an established bedtime routine. Bedtime prep music, bath, massage, bottle, down. Follow a consistent schedule throughout day (2-3 hour scheduled feeds), 1 hour wake times, and 1-2 hour naps. Good daytime naps means good sleep at night. This was the key for us. She started sleeping through the night for us pretty early on.
Do you offer a pacifier? Our girl always woke up in the middle of the night but will take a pacifier and fall back to sleep on her own. This caused issues for us when she went into 4 month regression and starting waking up every 1-2 hours needing her pacifier but that has now passed.

Look up Lyndsey Hookway - she’s on instagram and on Facebook as ‘Feed sleep bond’. Most babies don’t sleep through the night. It’s completely normal.
I thought I was losing my mind and being a terrible mother in lockdown in 2020/2021 - finding Lyndsey saved my sanity! Definitely gave me more confidence to follow my instincts and things felt easier, even if in reality nothing had really changed other than me stopping giving myself a hard time.
I bed shared with my little girl which is not for everyone, then moved her to a floor bed in her own room. She’s now 3.5 years old, goes to sleep on her own after a bedtime story and stays asleep all nights most of the time. Being patient has definitely paid off 💗

if not hungary are they definitely ready to wake up? I have accidently woken my lo as eyes are open and they are squirming or crying a little, but have learnt to wait now and often she's just active sleeping, and if I wake her too she is often crabby and tired and difficult to settle
