C section and music

Did you make a playlist for your c section or did they just play random music? I had a playlist ready for Labour with my first which ended in emergency c section so didn’t get chance to use it so wonder how it works with a planned c section as that’s what I’m having this time round. Also are you able to choose what song your baby is born to or is it pure luck with whatever comes on? If you did have a playlist, what song was your baby born to?

We didn't have a play list but they asked us if we wanted the radio on. My daughter was born to George Ezra - Shotgun
which strangely enough I used to play George Ezra to her when i was pregnant and she used to go crazy lol

I just asked for the radio. Baby is out in about 10 mins, so make it song 2. It’s quick! Taylor Swift Love Story was on when she came out. I remember hearing Harry Styles and weirdly, old school Travis

Avatar

love that. From my first I remember her being out quick but wasn’t sure what time exactly the section started to know how soon it was if that makes sense haha

With my first section they had radio on in the background, I’m having my second section on Wednesday coming and baby’s going to be called Kaiser. So only right if they offer, I’m going to ask for The Kaiser Chiefs to be playing 🤣

love it 😂

probably pick ‘I predict a riot’ so he can come out rocking away 😂

I had an emergency c section and they specifically asked us if we had any songs we wanted playing. They had access to Spotify and just played from that. My husband asked for Bob Marley so they played that playlist now when we play the Bob Marley playlist on Spotify it’s the same order of songs our son was born too

I actually asked my obstetrician what songs have been requested before and she told me “the Circle of Life” from Lion King has been a popular request 😂

Avatar

that’s good! There was literally not time to even think about music with my emergency c section so I really want this time to be nice and relaxed and I think music will definitley help ease my anxiety

Avatar

yeah I can imagine that tbf 😂 I don’t think I’d wanna go for something like that but I have no idea what I’d choose. I’ve seen someone I’m not sure if it was here on tik tok that requested Taylor swift the one we’re it’s like “it’s me, hi, I’m the problem it’s me” 😂 imagine that just as they’re being pulled out haha

Avatar

I just went on Spotify and put in section playlists 😅

Avatar

I did a playlist on my phone which they plugged in. Things got a bit more serious at a point so they turned it off but baby came out to it

Avatar

We took a speaker and made a playlist on Spotify. If you want your baby to be born to a particular song you could put it on repeat!

Avatar

I think I’d get sick of the same song over and over for the whole section 😂 I think we’ll make a playlist and just chance it with what she’s born to

Avatar

We weren’t asked :( radio was on but god knows what was playing when baby girl was born haha

Avatar

We had the playlist and we got so emotional when they put our music on.

Avatar

Changed due date

Anyone had their date change at 12 weeks scan?

I used my last period and also fully tracked ovulation, I had a due date Oct 10.

In my 12 week scan they said Oct 15

Now I don’t know which to use as I know the 12 week scan can place things wrong due to the tiniest millimetre off measurement

What did others go by and what was accurate?

Second baby here!

Damp pants.. can your waters go incredibly slowly lol

Or did I pee 😅

I woke up this morning with a damp patch in my undies that I noticed when I pulled my pants up after a wee.. I did smell it and it doesn’t smell like wee and I got my husband to smell (lol) and it didn’t smell like wee to him either but I’m also very hydrated...

I have sat over the toilet and nothing is dripping out of me so I think maybe I just lost a bit of wee over night or just before I noticed?

Birthday

So idk if this would be considered bd drama, but he just texted me “happy birthday” my birthday isn’t until April 20th, we’ve known each other since 2024. And I just feel a little sad that he doesn’t know my birthday. Should I appreciate that he tried? Or be upset that after all this time he still doesn’t know my birthday?

Sleep

Does anyone else lay awake all night unable to sleep due to hormones or overthinking? Gosh it’s so annoying!
Please tell me I’m not alone.

Elective C-section

Guys I'm 13 weeks but I'm already extremely terrified of birth and specially tearing and injuries down there. I'm thinking I'd rather suffer the pain from the c section than going through natural labour. I like the thought of everything being planned and I'd know what's going on. Any of you in a similar situation?

I’m having my baby tomorrow

I have just found out that I am going to be induced tomorrow. After a rough pregnancy this is the best decision for us I will be 39 weeks and 5 days. Anyone got any tips or advice to make the process smoother.
