Midwives brew/castor oil to induce labor naturally?

Hello mamas and soon-to be mamas!
I went in for 40 week 6 day appointment today still not dilated . I have tried everything idk what to do next . It’s quite discouraging and disappointing tbh after doing all that walking and everything everyday. My induction is set for May 15. Do you recommend me having midwives brew/ castor oil tonight to induce labor and contractions naturally? Induction is scary as a ftm as you all know. Your inputs will be highly appreciated.

I do NOT recommend castor oil , I kept trying and trying and nothing worked I get how discouraging it is but if your body isn't ready it won't work anyways.it wasn't untill I stopped trying to induce that I started getting contractions my baby boy made everything happen according to his own plan tho

Sorry I didn’t follow you. Did contractions start on its own before you were to get induced? Why don’t you recommend castor oil?

Castor oil can cause you to either poop alot and get dehydrated and or cause baby to poop in the womb.

I know so many women that have ended up with c sections after doing castor oil because of dehydration which led to exhaustion. It’s a laxative and will drain your hydration and mineral stores. Also, dilation means NOTHING. You can go from 1 cm to 10 in a few hours, some women walk around at 6 cms for weeks before labor. Don’t stress it, baby will come when they’d ready.

Castor oil did dehydrate ne but it didn't cause diarrhea like it says I was constipated for 3 days

Bleeding while you pregnant…

I'm six weeks pregnant with my second child. At the beginning of the pregnancy, I had some light spotting. At five weeks, I had an ultrasound and a blood test for hCG levels. The ultrasound showed a bleeding wound, but it doesn't affect pregnancy. My hCG increased by 169% in two days. After all these tests, I no longer saw blood on the toilet paper after going to the bathroom. Then yesterday, I had a little difficulty going to the bathroom, and after that, I saw a small amount of blood on the toilet paper again. Nothing today. I'm going for an ultrasound on Friday, but I'm still uneasy. Has anyone else had this?

Growth scan at 34 weeks

Hi, I went to the midwife yesterday and have been referred for an urgent growth scan as baby has dropped from the 90th to 40th percentile over the last three measurements. Has anyone experienced this? So stressful 😔

Julia Donaldson Party

Hi all, I’m throwing a Julia Donaldson party for my soon to be one year old but finding it hard to find decorations etc!

I have a sign, banner, zog and Gruffalo cupcakes and of course a cake! Also going to bring some books and toys to display.

Just wondered if anyone has done anything similar and could share any ideas?

I know he won’t remember but I want to make it amazing. We aren’t renting a soft play we’re just buying a slide set and a ball pit etc so my son can use them at home! So I just to make sure the theme pops so I can take lots of pictures and show him when he’s older!
