My baby is past 15 months old now, and for about 2 weeks he wakes up during the night, very upset, unsettled, crying a lot inconsolably. Since he was born, sleeping wasnt an easy ride with him but after 13 months he started to sleep through. The past 2 weeks however he can only settle between us in the bed, which also takes quite some time. Anybody with similar issue?
I can't think of what it might be due to. His mollar has been growing but wouldnt he cry because of that during the day, too?
Thank you.

Hi I have no advice I’m sorry but my 15 month old little boy has also done exactly the same thing this past week! Crying so much in the night waking up each hour. He’s also been teething/ongoing colds etc which I wasn’t sure if it was that. I also saw on the wonder weeks app he’s just going into leap 10 which apparently means very clingy, irritable, grumpy, sleep regression etc 😭

Teething pain is usually worse at night just like any pain is usually worse at night because your body is at that point extremely low on energy and just wants to rest, but instead can only focus on whatever pain is present. My little girl currently has more teeth coming in but I find she’s generally more distracted from it during the day, but it bothers her at night. She bites on her dummy a certain way as she cries in her sleep to try and relieve the pain etc.

I had similar with my daughter when she was 15 months. Suddenly awful sleep. Think it was her molars as nothing else had changed. She was also fine in the day but really not good in the night and always settled after calpol. So I gave it most nights before bed until the worst was over and now she’s pretty good again.
Hope it is that and that it improves soon! x

It will be her teeth. I had the same with my boy and one night he was inconsolable I ended up crying too. My husband had to settle the both of us down. Try giving ibuprofen before bed and see it that helps. It lasts 8 hours so it’s better than Calpol x

His* sorry x

Yep my 15 month old girl is the same. Never had an issue before. Was a good sleeper but these last few weeks have been a nightmare 😴

My girls the exact same :( I have to leave in a little while for work as well I feel completely knackered already as she’s been waking up every hour fussing around and not falling asleep

I’ve also heard teething can be worse at night, lying down can make it more painful and also day time for toddlers is so distracting that the pain can become an after thought. Have you tried calpol before bed?
