If people are putting their babies to bed at certain times 7pm, 8pm etc do you go to bed too?! Cus that’s really the early for me to go to bed… I thought we had to be with them until 6months cus of sids? Am I getting this really wrong? I have a camera to use ready so should I use that now? Tia x

I put baby to sleep in her next-2-me and watch her via the camera. I then go to bed when I am tired. I think guidance having baby by our side until they are 6 months is a bit misleading. If you can monitor baby via a cam you should be fine whilst you are awake doing chores etc.

It’s advised to be close to baby when sleeping as it can help regulate their breathing and heart rate. Also, if anything was to happen, those split seconds could make a huge difference.
My daughter falls asleep around 8pm either in my partners arms or laid on the sofa next to us. Then we take her up to bed with us when we go up which is usually 10-10.30. She stirs a little but pretty much always stays asleep or falls back asleep instantly.

I'll be waiting till 6 months before leaving my lo separately to sleep. He feeds to sleep around 8pm up in our room and I pop him into his crib next our bed. Then my fiance and I tag team; he comes up and stays with lo while I get a shower, do bits I need to before coming up to bed and swapping again. We're currently lucky our boy sleeps through the night.

Mine goes down somewhere between 7.30 and 8.30 in his cot. We then spend evening downstairs, we have owlet and camera and monitor from downstairs. Depending on individual circumstances SIDs risk is greatly reduced by this point

Currently yes but we take him up at 8.30 ish and by the time he's fed and settled it's gone 9. He's very inconsistent with his sleep so I try to sleep at the same time to catch up 😴. Once he's bigger and has earlier bedtime I wont be.

We started putting my little one to bed with monitor about 7 30/8 a d I usually join him 9ish mainly cause I'm chattered

Mine falls asleep in my arms around 7:30/8pm ish, I then just hold her downstairs until i’m ready to go to bed around 9:30pm before putting her down in her next to me. I just make myself ready to get into bed before she falls asleep.
One day I will just put her to sleep in her cot rather than holding her and use monitors, but for now it seems to work for us

We get into bed next to her and watch TV for an hour but I’m more than happy to go asleep at 8pm, I get up at 5am everyday when my partner gets up for work so at that point we’re both exhausted 😂

My baby goes to bed (cot) around 8pm and I usually go after one hour/hour amd half. If I am downstairs, I pay attention if he cries or I go to check him anyway up to when I go to sleep too.

i usually go to bed when my baby goes to bed but if not i do have a camera on her cot and i just watch that if im ever away from the bed - we’ve done this since birth x

My LO is 4 months (will be 5 in a week) and she sleeps in her own room I know it’s against advice however she can’t sleep in the same room as us as we wake her up if we move at night it wakes her up so she was extremely cranky and wasn’t getting good sleep so it realllly just didn’t work for her I hated seen her so cranky we have a camera on all night and I’m a very light sleeper so I wake up to her even just shuffling in her bed xx

Mine falls asleep at 7pm in his next to me and stay with him while my husband puts our toddler to bed and I watch netflix and chill out and then my husband and I take turns having a shower and then we snuggle up with one too many snacks and watch a show together in bed. Once our little one is 6 months then we will leave him upstairs and come down and watch netflix. But realistically we’re doing the same thing regardless if we’re upstairs or downstairs so it doesn’t bother us ☺️

I start bedtime 8pm in bed and then he’s usually asleep by 8.30/9 so I then pop the camera on so I can go tidy/wash bottles/shower and just have 5minutes for myself. I usually go to bed around 10/10.30 in the same room.

I put him to bed around 9:30/10 pm just works for us, I co sleep so I’m bed with him :)

My little one just stays downstairs with us until we are ready to go to bed. We will continue with this until we are ready to implement a routine which will probably be a few months yet
