Can anyone tell me at which age they moved their kids from the next to me cots, to the actual cots, then from the cots to the low toddler bed, and then to a single bed and when they were able to add the duvet / pillow etc. Everyone seems to do different and I can’t find a clear answer online 😂

Duvets and pillows aren’t advised before 1 years old. If your child is sleeping well without one after 1 year old I wouldn’t complicate things for yourself by adding one if not needed and warm enough in clothes/sleep sack.

I think I figured it out?
So next to me cot till there 6 - 12 months old
At around 12 months you can introduce a duvet / pillow.
Then change to a crib until they are roughly 2 years old
Then change to a toddler bed (they use the same size mattress as a crib and are low to the ground)
Then there is normally a upper weight limit of 35-50lbs for the toddler bed
to which you can then move them to a ‘twin bed’ (like a small single) when they’re too big, just have the rails on the side of the bed so they don’t fall out.

Our LG outgrew her next to me around 6 months, at which point we moved her to a cot in her own room. Her cot becomes a toddler bed. She’s only just 1. Not bothering with a duvet or pillow etc just yet as she’s sleeping well in her sleep sacks. I guess once she starts being able to climb out of her cot is when we’ll look to transition it to a cotbed.

Generally next to me will only last you to 6 or 9 months old, I'd recommend going straight to a Cot bed rather than a cot as you can get an extra year or 2 out of it. My brother was in his Cot Bed until 6 years old, just took the sides off and it becomes a toddler bed

We moved from next to me to cot at around 5 months, then from cot to floor bed at 1 year old! Haven't introduced a duvet yet as she's OK in a sleep sack for now but she does have a toddler pillow under the bottom sheet x

My little one was out of her next to me when she was 6 months 😢she’s was and still is a very long baby she moved to her cot at 6 months and still in her cot now with a lot more room still she’s now 14 months atm she has only a pillow in her cot as she gets very warm very quickly and I use her sleep togs still x

My son stayed in the next to me cot until 6 months old, then went into the cot bed in his own room from 6 months. He’s now 21 months old and still in the cot bed. A friend advised me to keep him in the cot bed for as long as possible before changing it to the toddler bed.
I won’t be giving my son a duvet and pillow until he’s in the toddler bed.
