My LO is just not interested in food at all - is anyone else in the same position and if so what did you do to encourage them to try?

I started baby led weaning a week before 6 months and it took my little one 4 weeks before he was interested in eating. Before that he stared at food, poked it, played with it and the odd lick 🤣 he’s still a bit up and down (7 months old 10 June) but he is more interested in food now ☺️ for some of our little ones it just takes a bit longer, hang in there and I am sure your lo will enjoy food soon ☺️ xx

When you say they’re not interested, what do you mean exactly? It can takes babies a while to get the hang of it but tasting, playing with food, licking etc all still count and are hugely beneficial for baby to learn 😊 x

My boy is the same. I still try to offer him a very small amount or a different item each day. I let him play a bit with the food. I hope he will get some interest soon

my little girl also doesn’t seem to like solids yet, but she did like some purées with a bit of formula / breast milk mixed in. I guess it could have been a tiny bit of familiar taste that made her at least try to eat some of the food

My LG isn’t interested at all. In fact she pretty much clamps her mouth shut when she sees the food coming now. I’ve decide to leave it for a week and try again. X
