Looking to go on nature walks with bubba when he’s here, I’m new to this whole thing. Which baby carrier is best? From newborn+

I’ve got an infantino one. Used it a lot with my first, admittedly I’m not sure if it’s suitable from newborn as we got it when he was 6 months. Very supportive though, really liked it x

Personally I prefer a stretchy wrap for newborn, I feel like it’s more comfy for both you and baby. You can get more structured ones though that you can get newborn inserts for like ergo baby and Tula which are both good brands. We used our stretchy wrap until around 4 months when we then swapped to an ergo baby for a bit more support for my back as she got heavier. There’s a baby wearing group on fb that offer really good advice as they can help with fit checks once baby is here but also recommend what’s good for their hip placement as the wrong carrier can cause them hip issues etc (not all carriers are supportive for baby even if they claim to be)

We got our stretchy wrap on Amazon for a reasonable price but you can get more expensive branded ones

thank you for the informative reply 🫶🏼, do you recommend something like the Caboo lite wrap? I was thinking of getting the ergobaby 360 carrier too.. after baby is 6months or so xx

I haven’t used it but I have heard very good things about that brand so I’d say it’s a good option. Ergobaby 360 is also a good option I’ve heard a lot of good things about it, we used the ergobaby original and tbh I wasn’t a huge fan as it’s quite a bulky carrier so I’ll be looking at the 360 or the embrace this time round I think or even a Tula carrier but I haven’t decided fully yet. I’ll probably decide when baby is a couple months as we’ll be using our stretchy wrap first

You should look at sling libraries around you. They can give you advice and you could borrow before buying. Carriers will feel differently for each person and what feels confortable for someone might not be for someone else.

Is it cheating

My husband just told me that at work he and his male friends/coworkers pinch each others nipples as like a joke, I think it’s inappropriate and it’s cheating in a way and he does not agree he thinks it’s just funny and nothings wrong with it

A full 8 hours

My 1 month and five week old newborn just slept 8 hours. I genuinely don’t know who blessed me, but good lord am I thankful. We really only woke up a few times to put her binky back in her mouth. She did just got home from the NICU and adjustment was pretty hard for the past few nights, so she certainly deserves a lot of sleep. Just happy to see her feeling more comfortable.

Baby hates me?

Why does my baby hate me. All she wants from me is to be fed and then screams and screams at me, she settles with everyone else and i don't understand what im doing wrong. I feel like the worst mum ever and am really struggling.

Witching hour??

Pretty sure my 7 week old has a strict “lose all chill at 6pm” policy 😅

Evenings = crying, pacing, questioning my life choices 😂

Fed, burped, cuddled… still a bit of a mystery. Any tips from mums who survived this stage? How did you get through the evening chaos?!

Front sleeping

My baby is 9 months old and I was told a while back that the sleep should always start in there back, is this true and why?
My baby always wants to front sleep now and I’m fighting every night to get the sleep to start on his back or side

Is nursery a bit out of line?

Today I learned that my son was “seen by someone” when picking him up. Apparently speech therapist saw him in the nursery to evaluate him and I only learned about it on pick up.

No warning, no even proper explanation of what triggered it. With one staff member saying “he is not speaking at all”, and another dismissing it and saying it’s completely normal.

And everyone seem to dismiss my shock as he is the most chatty happiest child at home.

So it triggers me that instead of finding a way to get him “open up” and make him feel secure so he starts speaking naturally. They now decided he needs to be “fixed” and probably push him into more anxiety with it. Without even consulting us.
