My baby is six months and he’s teething and sooo miserable. We’ve tried giving him calpol but now that he’s older he knows what’s going on and as soon as we bring the syringe to his mouth he clamps his mouth shut. If we manage to get any in his mouth he spits it straight out.
How do we get him to take it?!

My first was exactly like this. You can try syringing it into his cheek and then gently blow in his face to trigger the swallow reflex. You can also buy really small bottles with a teat that you can mix with some of their milk. Have you tried giving using a small spoon or cup?
Anbesol is also 👌🏼for teething and you rub it on their gums.

My little girl isn’t the best with taking medicine either. I’ve found using her bottle teat and putting the syringe in that and she tends to suck - maybe doesn’t take it all as she then starts to click on it’s not milk 🙈

Agree with Jenny. Try putting on side and then blow on the face. Works wonders

In syringe and then through bottle teat, tricks them into thinking it's a bottle x

You can get medicine dummies too if your little one takes a dummy!

Amazon do medicine mini bottles they were a game changer for me (3 in a pack) LO oddly now prefers the syringe 🤦♀️😂
Thank you all. Our baby won’t take a dummy or bottle though 😂 he’s a very fussy baby!

I do the put a little bit in their mouth via syringe and then gently blow on their face. I have to give one of my babies medicine via syringe three times a day, this works perfectly everytime, over & done with in seconds x
