So I live in an apartment complex with shared laundry. I have seen some sketchy things going the washer as well as sooo many different kinds of detergents being used. I want to wash and dry all of my baby’s clothes before he comes but washing them by hand and hang drying is taking a century. I don’t want to use the shared laundry incase something irritates his new skin or something. I understand at some point I’ll end up likely using them but for fresh baby I’m trying to be careful… or am I being a freak lol I have brain stormed maybe using dry cleaning bags or even just using the dryers but I’m not sure. Any suggestions or ideas? Opinions are welcome if they are positive! lol I know I might sound crazy 😝

Do you have a nice laundromat nearby? I’ve always had my own laundry at home, but I clean my duvets in the nice laundromat in town as they tend to have larger washers and dryers.

there are not many nice laundry mats at least that I have seen but that wouldn’t help beings it is the community shared machines that are making me hesitate. I wash my own clothes in them but want to wash babies in something I have more control over what chemicals are being used.

I think I’d feel the exact same way as you. Is there a way for you to run a cycle with nothing in it to like “clean” it lol 😂 also today I went to the laundry mat and I was not pleased with how the detergent thing looked 🤢 my laundry mat is very nice in my opinion but idk what they do to clean their machines and I’m assuming it’s worse in an apartment? I’m sorry I’m not more help!

lol that’s honestly not a bad idea. I could run a cycle with bleach and just put white towels in there. The soap area has some residue but maybe the bleach will help clean it out.

I'd research, but i think you can use vinegar to help clean? I think I read that on another post XD I assume it'd be better than bleach... sorry I'm not more help haha I have washer/dryer at home :P

Maybe you can ask a friend 🫶
