I had the same thing!! I asked my midwife and she said that baby needs to feed every 4 hours so not to allow them to go past this point. My little one is the same when it comes to sleep and feeding, I’ve found that rubbing his chest tends to wake him up enough to seek a bottle!:)

I’ve stretched to 4 hours and he will wake if he’s hungry before then, yesterday and today he has been awake a lot more. Not sure if coincidentally but makes feeds a lot better as he is ready for them at 4 hours than battling to wake him. Baby is 8 days

My baby was like this in the first week, I was googling at the time wondering if it was normal. Now at almost three weeks he is much more awake and alert. As long as he is eating and having wet nappies there’s nothing to worry about

This is totally normal!
This is just my experience you may be already doing the same 💗What we started doing was changing nappies before feed to make her wake up fully before feeding then I would feed her so she was facing me sitting up so I could talk to her etc to try and encourage wake time. She now has windows 11-12:30 and 4-6 where she’s fully alert and awake (I have noticed that her 3 hourly feeds go to about 2 hourly when she’s awake, probably because she’s using more energy) hope this helps x

Thanks everyone ❤️
