Excessive kicking

I am 36 weeks and baby’s always been a big kicker since I could feel her and it’s pointed out at every appointment that ‘she’s very active’. It feels as she’s grown she’s got increasingly more active and now it’s literally all day everyday and if I wake up in the night I can feel her. FTM so I’m probably being overly paranoid but can’t help wonder if baby is ok! Midwife always says it’s fine but just dismisses without question. Anyone else the same?

I'm the same! It's very painful for me unfortunately as she's always in my ribs! But at least it's comforting to know she's okay 😊

If she’s constantly doing it, it’s fine, but if she’s usually quiet and then randomly starts kicking absolutely loads, always get checked.
My first was reallllly active, this baby isn’t anywhere near as active as she was! X

Your not been paranoid heightened movements are just as important as reduced movements to get checked out xxx

My first was exactly like this! Whenever the midwife asked if I could feel the baby moving. I said "Yes, all the time!!!" I had a membrane sweep at 40 weeks and he was so wiggly that my midwife's hand keeps sliding off and I could literally see my belly going into all sorts of funny shapes LOL and he turned out to be a very active baby and toddler now 🤣 this time, the second one is so much quieter so it feels kind of weird

Same! Had it with my first son and he’s not stopped moving since he was born 😅
Second baby is just as active if not more but it is painful sometimes!

Thank you for sharing!! Glad it’s not just me! Going to ring triage for peace of mind tomorrow, she’s wild!!

Mine has quiet times of the day but when active she goes mental and the rest of the time its like she's trying to push herself down and out and just over 35 weeks now. Hoping this is a good sign

Hospital bag (UK)

What did everyone pack for their section? I'm staying in for 3 days due to mental health, not really sure what I'll need to bring, feeling very nervous. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.

Reduced movements

26 weeks and haven’t really felt little baby all day, she’s usually super active & I have a posterior placenta so I feel her all the time usually. I did feel her ever so briefly earlier right down into my pelvis. I was at maternity triage the other night with tummy cramps but everything was fine and so was baby. What should I do? I don’t want to feel like a nuisance?
