Hi guys, sorry for the grumbly post but I’m just wondering if anybody is in the same boat as me and/or has any advice.
My partner never wants to do anything and I mean ever. We literally sit at home all the time and watch tv he never has any motivation to go out and do stuff as a family and on the off chance we do he moans the entire time. We are a military family, so I don’t have a huge family/friend network around me to make plans with as I live hours away. He does work all through the week (varied hours) so I understand after a long working week he would just want to relax but he has been off of work now since the beginning of June and still this problem persists.
I sadly lost my job a week before I found out I was pregnant with my second child and didn’t manage to find a job willing to still pay Mat leave so have been a SAHM since september last year so all I do is stay in the house other than park visits here and there and I have to admit I feel like I have cabin fever. When I bring this issue up with him he gets quite funny and just fobs me off or says something along the lines of ‘well I’m really sorry I work and am tired’ and then I feel like a nag.
I mentioned just now if he wanted to go for coffee or something with the kids tomorrow and he said why would we do that can’t you just go on your own? I just feel so sad that he doesn’t want to do anything. He’s happy to nip out with his friends all the time but when it comes to me and the kids he won’t.
Any advice please? And apologies for the rant. I also have a newborn so I have no clue if what I have written has made sense as I’m bloody knackered lol

I think you're being a little too nice to him. You need to stand firm and tell him a relationship is a two way street. You need to see xyz from him and that being a full time mom IS the hardest and most honorable job anyone could have. Are you close with his family? You might need outside intervention for him to open his eyes if he doesn't take you seriously
