I’m 35 weeks pregnant and I go on maternity leave in a week and I cannot wait. I have a very physical job and I work with older woman than myself. At this point I’m basically like a pregnant walrus who just needs to put her feet up 😂😂
But my god the comments that I have had to put up with since before getting pregnant regarding their menopause symptoms is really starting to piss me off. I really thought they’d of rained it in whilst I’m working around them right now and try keep their comments to some sort of perspective or be a little sympathetic towards my situation. I never complain or ask for help but all I have to listen to is this all day. Not to mention the unsolicited advice is driving me insane.
“I’m hot” “I’m exhausted” “I haven’t slept” “my husbands a dick head” “my brain fog” “I’m so tired I could just fall to sleep” “my neck and back are killing me” “I can’t stop gaining weight” “I can’t stop loosing weight” “everything hurts” “my hot flushes”
If I say I’m tired or feel a bit off it all I get is the “just you wait” comments. “If you feel bad now wait till baby is here” “are you sure it’s not twins” “when I was pregnant we didn’t have all modern gadgets” “back in my day we just get on with it”
Which I’m pretty sure they didn’t, Ive come to the conclusion that you do just forget how hard pregnancy is because I never ever get one supportive or understanding comment. It’s like their brains have been wiped clean of any memory of what it was like.
I can’t win and I always feel like they have to one up me which is never dream of doing to them. I can’t wait for next Friday 🥴🥳🥵😵💫

Ugh people are the worst. Problem is, they probably don't mean anything by it and menopause IS tough (or so I've heard, obvs no experience yet). I think you just need to rise above it and be glad you're on mat leave now! 😉
