My baby is about to be 7 weeks as of tomorrow. He is already 11 pounds & has no issues eating every 2 hours & my breast start leaking every two hours. I exclusively breastfeed. At night though he sleeps throughout the night. Sometimes he’ll wake up 1-2 times to feed but last night he literally woke up and went back to sleep. I woke him up to feed because they say babies especially newborns shouldn’t go without feeding for more than 4 hours. Does anyone else’s baby sleep through out the night and has your pediatrician said anything about it?

My newborn once slept for 5 hours and he was only 2 weeks, it scared me, there were a few times I had to wake him up at the 2 hours mark because he didnt wake up but he was to tired to eat so I let him sleep and he would wake up usually 1-2 hours after that and he ate just fine, just know your baby will eat when he is hungry

My 3 week old is sleeping 6 hours during the first stretch of the night and then I wake him up! I just prefer to know he’s eating at least once in the night vs waiting for him to wake me up! I think as long as he isn’t losing weight it’s fine! I also feel like mine eats most of his calories during the day so maybe that’s why he can sleep longer?

I formula feed, my baby takes 5 oz every 4.5 hrs during the day and sleeps 5-6 hrs at night. He's drinking about 25 oz total in a 24 hr period. He is 75th percentile for weight. I think as long as your baby is a healthy weight then it's okay to let them sleep at night if they are feeding well during the day.
My daughter was a different story, she was always small (5th percentile) and we had to wake her up thruout the night to feed until she was about 6 months old and started solids. She was just not getting enough during the day during those first months.

Mine just started sleeping through the night 12-6 but sometimes wakes up if she needs a diaper change

My 6 week old does the same thing. Pretty much since I brought him home. Stretches of 4-5 hours at night, once 7 hours! And then during the day sometimes he eats an hour apart. But I love that he sleeps good at night. He's still gaining weight and so far my supply is keeping up with it. I do wake him up sometimes to eat, others I'll pump and save some for the freezer.
