Anyone else scared they will never know what true love feels like or if you believe in a soulmate are you scared you won’t find them? Most days I like my husband, but mostly he’s comfortable and a great dad. I’ve been in love before but obviously they didn’t work out. I’m in my mid 30’s. I often think about several people in my past and wonder what life would be like with them. I have a “good life” and a stable household, but I do envy those that have that passion in their relationship.

It’s ok, maybe it’s because he’s not “the one” but he’s yours. Maybe the emptiness is lack of a relationship with God find God and you will feel more fulfilled

It’s pretty normal to go through phases of passion and lesser passion in the relationship in different phases in life. If you have lived together, farted and poked in front of each other, had babies, lack of sleep, mundane day to day of raising kids? These are all passion killers. You need to actively counteract it. What do you two do to build passion? Do you know each others love languages and regularly practice them? Do you regularly date? Go on adventures together, communicate your hopes and dreams and your fantasies. Also, do you prioritise sex etc, try new lingerie, positions, games or toys? What do you do for yourself, or by yourself that energises you? Excites you? Having a good life means that you have the capacity to explore excitement and do stuff together.

Sadly, I already did in the past. It was a guy I saw from November 2017 to mid June 2018. Long story short, I fell deeply in love with him but he did not feel the same way. We became best friends with benefits. When he finally caught onto my romantic feelings for him, he ended it saying I deserved a guy who wanted a romantic relationship with me. 💔

My first love was probably my true love. We were together for many years but we were so young and didn’t know how to act. We hurt each other and both had some problems we didn’t know how to handle. Now we’re both all grown up and speak from time to time. He’s always so uplifting and says my husband is so lucky to have the best version of me and he will always love me. Sometimes he drunk dials.
My husband and I just don’t see eye to eye on alot of things. We do love each other alot but it’s never been heart throbbing passion. I don’t know how I could live without him because I do love him so much but I don’t know what I’m doing with him either. I think a lot of days we stick it out for the kids. He’s a good man and a great provider. I just wish we could communicate and be more on the same page. But life is full of different seasons and it’s definitely what you make it. Same with marriage. It’s finding someone you enjoy and care about to share experiences, life, and the work load with.
Thank you ladies! I’m glad to know I’m not alone on some level. It’s almost like we’re living parallel lives. We go through the motions. We do date night once a week or every other week, vacations every few months, but I have no desire to be intimate with him. On the rare occasions we do. It’s almost like I’m forcing myself to”to be a good wife”. I catch myself wishing he would cheat on me so than I would have something tangible to leave him for. Every little thing he does annoys me, most of the time I push down those emotions, but sometimes I can’t and I snap at him. He’s obviously noticed and he matches my energy. He has moments where he’s a great dad and other moments when he’s lazy. It was like this before the baby too, but my biological clock was ticking. I knew he would be a responsible dad ( for the most part) other areas of my life are going great. I love my job, my friends and family. I have a huge support system, but I can’t leave baby is just 8 months.
