Need advice: I’m thinking about leaving my husband…

I’m thinking about leaving my husband due to issues within our marriage. We’ve talked about these issues many times and for a while things seemed like they were getting better, but not anymore. I still love him and I don’t want to tear our family apart, but I also don’t want our children to grow up with a poor example of what a happy and healthy marriage looks like, like I did.
For context, I’ve been a SAHM ever since our firstborn was born to avoid paying for childcare since most of my income would’ve been used just for that expense, so our family relies solely on his income (he works 10+ hour shifts, 5+ days a week). I’m worried that I won’t get primary custody due to my lack of income and not having a place of my own.
Should I go back to work before starting the divorce process? Should I also get a place of my own? I don’t want to delay the decision to divorce any longer, but if going back to work and getting a place of my own is the best course of action in order for me to get primary custody, then I’m willing to wait.

Im so sorry you're going through this. Definitely get yourself back on your feet before you go through with the divorce. NOTHING is more destructive to your children's lives and futures than a weak mother. My mother stayed with my abusive father for 30 years. She never worked. They are now divorced, she is 55 with no experience outside the house, no car, no home, and not a dime to her name. She expects us to take care of her, and now i'm a SAHM with two under two and have no way of supporting her. So think LONG-TERM. Think of what is best for your kids well into the future. It is so very brave of you to be thinking about divorce if you are truly unhappy. But you have such a huge responsibility to TAKE CARE OF YOU, so that you could be the best version of yourself that you can be.

You could do some couples counselling, but if you are sure about divorce, or even if you are not, it is not good to relay in a man, get yourself to work again, also it maybe make your partner to change, as he is probably tired, 10 hours a day is so much, and also he could think he can do whatever as he is the one holding the house, so making that equal could make him change, but if not, that's your answer.

What are the problems in your marriage?

Sometimes I wish my parents would divorce despite the fact that my mother would require a lot of financial support. I can see how miserable she’s been for years even though she pretends like everything is okay. I love my father, but I don’t like him (I hope that makes sense) and she deserves better than the terrible husband he’s been to her... But, I definitely don’t want to put my own children in a compromising position due to my lack of planning. Thank you for your advice and words of encouragement 🙏🏼

I understand that he’s probably very tired from work and stressed about being the sole financial provider, but I don’t think that should excuse some of his behavior. His job requires him to work 10-12 hour shifts, so he was already working those hours even when I was working full-time. Also, a few months ago, things got really bad and I expressed that I was considering divorce. That made him seek therapy for himself, which I was very proud of him to do so since he’s always been against that sort of thing. However, he only did 2 sessions before he quit and I was okay with that because I saw an immediate change in his behavior, but it didn’t last long. I’ve suggested couple’s therapy and he doesn’t seem receptive it. He says doesn’t like the idea of having someone else knowing about our personal issues and weighing in on our marriage.

I believe there is, but I haven’t looked into it because I’m still on the fence about divorce and I’ve been very tired/busy taking care of my babies (2 under 2).

I don’t want to disclose any details, so I’ll just say there’s little to no communication on his part, a lack of help and emotional support, no consideration for my wants/needs, lying about his whereabouts, drinking irresponsibly and acting aggressive/violent (luckily not toward me or our babies)…

Okay that's fair.

You need a plan. It needs to include where you will live, whether you will work (and if so, who will provide childcare), and how custody of the kids will be split. If he doesn't even want 50:50 custody, then you will get child support payments but unless you are living with family, you'll also need an income.

And, if you think he WILL fight you for custody, definitely do get legal advice before taking any steps

My village is missing

This is a late night vent session obviously but l make it short. My boyfriend and I went to a basketball game in Orlando. His sister was babysitting our son. We come back tonight for her to say he slept for 6 hours and just woke up. Now what type of shit is that. I’ve been feeling lately like no one cares for me or helps out in the way I need them to. People want to see you smile but don’t try to find the cause when you’re not. I’m an only child and my mom lives far. I feel very alone even with the dad involved. I feel alone and like I’m doing it all. I can’t even imagine having another kid which I want but this life here is tough

Sex life is 🫠

Im a little desperate already . Im not a huge fan on blowjobs but I’m doing it because I know he likes it . If he wants it in a car, during work meeting , on the balcony, on the beach everywhere I’m okay to do that . However, I’m not getting anything in return. I mean the last time he went down was more than 1.5 years ago . Okay, I was pregnant maybe he did not feel like doing it while I had a belly as he told me . , but I’m not pregnant already for awhile and I’m always telling him that I want him to go down and he is always having an excuse like “tomorrow “ etc . At the beginning it was funny and I was like okayyy but now it’s not as I’m not enjoying our sex in general . Like the process itself does not make me finish . As I’m breastfeeding and super dry down there and I’m always telling him to put lubricant as it’s hurting me . And sometimes it feels like I am begging for that as he is more comfortable without it , but damn IM NOT OKAY without it . So basically I do not remember when was the last time I have finished during sex . I understand that now with a baby it’s hard to fully enjoy it and have enough time for everything. But still . Just kiss me and put your dick inside me does not seems sexy . To be honest I understand why in marriage women does not want to have sex . Like I feel like it’s already work that I have to do not a pleasure. I’ve been telling him that but as I can see no changes applied 🫠

Whyyy?

I get horny when my man isn’t around but when he’s around and in the mood I’m not. This last Thursday he made me squirt a lot for by birthday. We only get intimate like 2 times a month.

Question about ejaculation

I tell my partner to wear a condom not only for protection but also so that there's no mess to clean up when I get up to use the toilet. Is this normal?
I ask because I now have the contraceptive pill but I still want him to wear a condom.
