I just don't get it. I'm at a total loss, I must be missing something. I've got an almost 3 year old and 6 month old. ANZ recently I feel like my toddler is wanting my attention alllll the time. She literally takes up most of time ( I know this is normal but hear me out). It's taken me all day to do 1 load of laundry and tidy my bedroom... because my toddler cannot entertain herself. Between her and the baby I just cannot get anything done! And I know cleaning / chores will always get left behind when you've got kids but I really can't function in mess. It affects my mental state so badly. I've tried to set up activities and get toddler to play independently but she gets bored so easily and wants a playmate which is always me. I used to be able to do a full clean of the house on weekends but now I'll be lucky to get just 1 room done. Is this normal? If anyone is able to clean more pleaseee tell me how 😭😭🙏🙏

I feel you and I only have a 7 month old 😅
If she gets bored easily perhaps she's actually quite smart and needs challenging activities to keep her entertained. Have you tried puzzles? Not the easy baby ones, a puzzle of her interest (tv character, get a custom one made of her? Or a family pic?) with smaller (not too small ofc) pieces that would take her longer to complete? Or any problem solving activities? Maze booklet? Memory games? Shape sorter toys?
What activities are you currently giving her now to entertain her?
Another suggestion - can she do the cleaning activities with you? Put pillows on bed/couch, put clothes in laundry basket, or even purchase a cheap pair of those socks where she can walk around the house and collect dust?
Do you have a pet? Would you consider maybe getting a fish, rabbit, or a safe animal she can watch/feed/play with etc?
Again, I only have a 7 month old but this is what I'd do! 🤷🏻♀️

I second this with the challenging activity or the have her help with cleaning. Heck if you said can you help mommy do this and have her do one thing in one room, like gather up her clothes in a hamper or toys in a room she’s done playing in. Even taking laundry from an adult to put in the dryer or taking things out of the dryer and pushing the basket on the floor. Possibly even teaching her to fold the simpler items/hang clothes on hangers. Matching the socks all up.

Only have a one year old who is super active and needs our attention all the time. I get her to help. She loves doing laundry, loading and unloading the clothes. While she does that (takes ages hahaha) I usually clean the kitchen or load the dishwasher. If I need her to stay in place I put her in her cot/play pen with some books or the music on so I can hoover. She also has some wooden puzzles.
Maybe try age appropriate puzzles/books or give her some tasks like tidying up her room.

I'm at the point of my day in which I can't even make myself a decent meal because I'm so overwhelmed by the mess. I just wish a cleaning fairy can come and help me after I try to do a yard sale with a 13mo (highly DO NOT recommend) all alone. I don't have a spouse to help me with all this. I don't have one at all. Just my baby and I
