Whole milk

Currently in my second week of transitioning!

Last week, I put 6 oz of formula and topped up with 1 oz of whole milk in his 7oz bottle and 7oz formula plus 1 oz in his 8 oz.

I still bf morning feed and bedtime 🌙

Another idea is use it as an ingredient- I make a cheesy pasta- well done, cut up fusilli, dollop of cream cheese and splash of whole milk :) lb loves it, and have started to add veggies like brocoli and flavours like pesto to it x

We’re fully transitioned from the day he turned 1, straight away he took to cows milk if he hadn’t I planned on doing 1 oz cows 6 oz formula and each day upping the cows and dropping the formula x

I use the aptamil 3 their recipe is 150ml and 5 scoops so I do that then top it up with whole to 210 for my sons night milk, he loves whole milk now ❤️

I was told not to mix the milk as it produces another consistency of milk… my son took to it like a duck to water but I have to take the chill of it, my duaghter (now 13) wouldn’t take to blue top n would only have green top so had to give her more dairy / calcium within yoghurts n stuff

We are just about fully transitioned now. We did half an half and then gradually upped the cows milk. She started to refuse it but I realised it was a bit cold so warmed it up and she'll take it now! Still in a bottle though x

We transitioned with making formula and swapping out 30 mls (kept same for 2 days), then swapped extra 30 mls etc, until it was fully cows. We warm it the same as we did with her formula.

The pedestrian we saw at the hospital told us that we could mix cows milk with Aptamil (she was on lactose free). We started with 30ml of cows milk and been increasing ever since. She is now on 120ml of cows milk. (Mixed in the same bottle)

imuse aptamil and planning to go on 3. I thought aptamil 3 is actually cows milk eight since it’s toddlers formula now ??
