So my son is 8 weeks old and after his 3am feed he rarely settles back down unless on my chest so I’m just thinking of cosleeping after this period… can I ask (might be a stupid question) what you all do in the bed to cosleep? What is classed as ok to do? I know there’s the lullaby trust website but just wanting first hand experiences what people do

Hey lovely
I’ve bed shared with both my babies - my first was 1 when we stopped and my second baby is 5 weeks old
I place my pillow right at the end of the bed so there’s loads of space on the other side (we have a super king).
I use either a blanket or a duvet for myself but tuck it between my legs so it doesn’t come up too high, typically my baby doesn’t need anything more than a sleepsuit as our room is quite warm
I sleep in the cuddle curl position and my baby sleeps either on her back or facing me
With my first baby I was able to relax the c curl position from around 6 months and often slept on my back (but this was obviously at my own discretion)
I’ve also slept with baby on my chest by sleeping in the middle of the bed and making sure there are no loose blankets etc and her face is outwards at all times
I recommend following ‘happy co sleepers’ on Instagram.
They have so much helpful information 🤍

thanks so much! X

thanks, yeah the last time he slept on my chest I woke up and he was sideways so I won’t dare do it again x
