My son's father took 1 4oz bag of milk with him he asked me how much milk he would need that he will be out with him for 3 hours that was all so I said IF ITS ONLY 3 HOURS 1 BAG IS ENOUGH IF ITS LONGER BRING 2 BAG he left the house at 1230 pm it is now 7 pm n I am pissed because that means my 2 month old son only ate a 4 ounce bottle in almost 7 hours and i wrong for being mad about this n I told him I'll pick him up for his next feeding if he wanted to stay out longer he could have to message me instead he chose not to message me or responded to my message for an hour n when i asked how the baby is he said hes fine ik my baby he eats more the 4 oz in 7 hours !!!!!!

yeah he definitely should've brought more than 1 bag just in case

Avatar

n I told him lmk and I will come pick him bring him with me for a lil to my mom's 2 hours cause then i would have needed to pick the 2 year old up so im guessing since i said id bring him to my moms he decided to stay out longer ( my mom n him dont get along ) so im pissed hes still out n its been 7 hours and he only had 4ozz when he eats every 2-3 hours

Avatar

Maybe he got him formula bc how is he not screaming his lung out 🤔

Avatar

he's exclusively breast feed he's never had formula n that's my concern how is he Fine if he's only had 4 oz is 7 hours n breast milk is good up to 3 hours after being defrosted

Avatar

N I even asked did u come back for more milk? I would rather u come back for milk then go 7 hours with only 4 ozs

Avatar

Hopefully, he didn't feed him formula just to stay outside. Men can be that dense.
Go get your baby bc unless he fed him before leaving home and then around 3pm, he is either going to be fed bad milk, not being fed, or formula.

Avatar

he litterly just got home 730 he's been out with him since 1230 an feed him one 4 oz bottle the entire time n is now walking around like he did nothing wrong and like I don't have a right to be mad !

Avatar

i asked he brought 1 bag so in 7 hours he had 1 bag of milk n he knows how often he eats we live together n he sees how often he's fed n we've had multiple convos bout how often he's fed which pisses me off even more

Avatar

I would kill him. Omg and was that poor baby not crying his head off? Mine screams bloody murder on the dot when he’s due. He’s an alarm clock.

Avatar

I heard him on the phone saying that the baby slept mainly the whole time but in the last 2 months he has not slept longer than 30 min unless hes is sleeping on one of us n I don't believe he slept the whole 7 hours an just 1 feed when he litterly eats every 2-3 hours sometimes he eats even more off then that but now he ain't even talking to me cause I'n his eyes I'm trying to start an argument

Avatar

I really hope he did sleep a lot like he said. I doubt he’d stay anywhere that long with a crying baby!

Avatar

Now you gotta stay on top of him unfortunately and make sure he takes more milk than he thinks he’ll need if you can trust him again lol

Avatar

So now that they are home. How is the baby? Was he super hungry or was he okay? Just tell him next time take 2 bags just in case to help ease your mind. I always take extra. So why not be prepared like a girl scout. Lol.

Avatar

Taking two bags on the road wouldn't really do anything because defrosted milk won't last 7 hours. Unless he was in someone's home to keep it frozen...

Avatar

Um no , I would lose my mind, my baby gets formula so it's easier to be out longer but still 1 4oz bottle is not enough for that long

Avatar

he was def eating n eat n eating when he came home and drinking fast so u can 100 percent tell he was hungry

Avatar

exactly n he wasn't gonna stay out until I said about bringing the baby over my mom's for a lil until I had to get my other son once I said that he decided to come back 7 hours later

Avatar

I would kill him, that poor baby was probably starving all day

Avatar

Oh man. I guess the silver lining is that baby was ok and not hysterical. Take the moment as a lesson and tell hubby that too. For future reference this is how it needs to be. Especially because baby is still learning habits too. (Tell dad that)

Avatar

Always over prepare! He should have been told or known to take extra. You can plan to be out a short time and then something happens then your baby is without food.

Lately, when we know we are going somewhere we plan it so that baby is fed right before we leave. And then we take an extra mix of formula. This allows us to have 6-7 hours out of the house. Even then, I pack another 2oz extra just in case.

Can you store an “on the go” bag of at least 2 bags of milk in a small cooler in the fridge so that he knows to just grab the bag and it will always have what he needs?

Avatar

we sort do the same. Just not an on the go bag. Our fridge is too small. Lol. Smart✔️

Avatar

He believes he did nothing wrong and I have no right to be mad about him not going back to the house to grab another bag a milk ( he was 2 blocks away from our house btw) and just kepts saying I'm trying to start arguments n be petty

Avatar

"It's not about right or wrong babe. It is about nutrition for our baby. Just because our baby doesn't cry doesn't mean our baby doesn't need something. Our baby needs to eat every 3 hours at least. And can't ask for food exactly but will be happy to be with daddy of course, just help me more with keep our baby's schedule" I'd say something along those lines. Lots of ours, and us and we. No I or me's making it a team effort. Good luck💙

Avatar

exactly I'm not asking him to say he's wrong but I'm trying to get him to understand 1) u only feed him 4oz in 7 hours despite weather he was crying or no he still needs to eat it's our job to feed him regardless if he's crying or not

An 2) u told me you'd be back in 3-4 hours cause I wasn't comfortable with him being gone that long without me just yet you told me that's fine you'd be back no later then 4 hours but once I said about let me know when he's ready for me to grab him u ignored my messages and purposely kept him out longer after u said u understood me I get he's his dad n I'm not saying he's not allowed out with him ofc not but communication is key and how is went about that part was wrong

Avatar

He is trying to start an argument by calling you petty. When all you want is to make sure the baby is okay. He's being a baby about this and needs to realize it is not about him.

Avatar

yes he took our photos down from social media and is posting things like "I'ma fwu like u fwm"

Avatar

Lol. My husband had that phase it's dumb. He doesn't do stupid stuff like that anymore. We've been together for 15 years.

Avatar

Whomever is his voice of reason is, he needs to have a talk with him

Avatar

Nooooo sometimes they cluster feed so you have to b prepared for that and he wouldn’t have taken my baby that long idc idc dads don’t tend to babies like moms do id b ready to fight

I understand not everybody can afford healthy ingredients all the time, but I’m seeing so many moms on social media giving they kids artificial cereals, coffee, frozen pancakes, velveetta Mac and cheese, hot Cheetos, kraft, the list goes on. I’m sorry but are yall not capable of cooking from scratch or ?? On top of that, if you still using canola and vegetable oil in 2026 you gotta stop. Am I the only one that notices this ???

AITA?

This isn't a major issue, just wondering if I'm being a bit of an asshole.

• I do shift work, 5 out of 7 days, full-time.
• My partner works from home (mostly, sometimes he goes into the office) M-F, full-time.

Anyway, whenever I have a day off during the week he gets in his feelings when I make myself food (breakfast and lunch) but not him. His reason is he's working, I'm not - Which is fair but I've asked him how many times on a weekend has he gotten up, on his day off and made me breakfast and a lunch to take with me to work? You guessed it, 0.

So basically, just because I'm at home I don't think the responsibility to feed him should automatically fall on me when he manages to feed himself just fine while I'm at work.

I've finally done it

I have finally done it. I have finally become the trope, the stereotype.

I have become bitter, resentful, and very overwhelmed and overloaded. I am very unhappy and hit burnout. And I snapped at my husband last night. I work full-time, and work has been very busy so im working late a lot. Im also in grad school. I also have a toddler that has become VERY clingy with me. My husband works shorter days but commutes, so he usually gets home after me by an hour or more. When he gets home, he usually heads to the restroom for at least 30 mins when he gets home. And now my toddler doesnt want anything to do with him. So im doing all the toddler duties until bed. I dont get 5 mins to myself. Not for almost 2 years. I finally hit my wall. I have also, somehow, become my MILs medical ride service and she somehow has an appt every week, it seems?! Shes not sick!! My husband was complaining that he needs to change routine to fit in a workout sometimes, and I lost it. I have been BEGGING for 5 mins to myself for months. I have been telling him how im not good, im going to burn out for months. And between his attitude and him complaining (which really got me b/c he blames me for not being able to work out?! Saying I need help when he gets home so he just cant workout now) I just lost it completely. I told him how unfair my life has become and I have the entire mental and emotional load and it is just not fair. He got mad at me and said "hes trying" when hes literally not trying at all. What do I do?? No one is taking the load from me! And im done and dont know what to do now.
I do not like this version of me.

Avoidant husband

I love my husband and he is a good man. We have some issues in our relationship however, as he has an avoidant attachment style (finds romance/intimacy/being emotional difficult). This comes from him having to be independent from a young age and having quite an abusive mother.
The issues in our relationship are mainly around a lack of sex and intimacy. I think the problem is that to feel turned on, I need to feel connected and wanted. My husband (being avoidant) will usually make jokes about being horny whereas I would want to have someone make me feel beautiful/sexy to get in the mood.
It sounds terrible but I've sometimes had dreams about exes that would make me feel this way, and the romance we had (eye contact, intensity, deep words). It makes me feel really guilty but I feel like i'm starved of that. My husband would like a lot more sex but I can't always force myself if I'm not feeling it.
We've spoken a bit about therapy but I know its often really expensive so we probably wouldn't be able to afford it. Do you have any suggestions please? I know that neither of us are wrong in what we want, just different but I'm scared about whether we can fix it or if we're doomed?

Big vent!

Hi mums.
I'm a first time mum in my 40s to twin boys. They are almost 5 months old and the biggest miracle in my life!
I am struggling!!!
I'm pretty sure I have ppa as my pregnancy was a very high risk and all I remember was crying from anxiety of all the ifs!Thankfully even born at 35 weeks and skinny, didn't need iu time.
My husband is not helping much because he's always too busy with work.He will "look" after them usually between 8pm-12am so I can have a chance to sleep.
He expects me to just sleep when I touch the pillow, even though I hear tje babies crying and him don't really bother because most of the times he'll be on his laptop working.
When I tell him I can't relax to fall asleep because I feel you r neglecting the babies,he says I'm the problem becauae I'm always there with them and don't give them alone time!!
I am angry!!I am furious!!
I can't keep.up.with housework becauae someone alwaya neess me and most of the times they nap I either cook and clean tje kitchen,do laundry or try and take a quick nap.
He doesn't help.around the house,becauae..guess what?always super busy.
I asked him nicely we could clean the house together every Saturday morning so it's easier and quicker for both of us and he said no,because he has a lot of work but probably wants to sleep until 12 or 2.
2 days ago a button of his coat ripped and I told him I'll sew it these days.
Earlier this morning while running late for his work,as always,he weara the coat and told him didn't get the chance to fix the button and sarcastically said..of.course u didn't!!!
I spent all night awake because one of the babies had congested nose and we've been trying to reduce one fees at night.
I wanted to punch him!!He left and I started crying...I cry so much, even at 5 months pp...
I can't go on like this anymoreeeee...
The crying in my ears is constant..my head is always numb..I've gained so much weight and can't find the strength to get back on track..
Even if I try to.find a therapist to just talk,is it gonna help?I really don't know😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Toddler snacks in the morning ?

Hey.

My 14m is clearly going through a growth spurt. He’s a fussy eater but recently started having two breakfasts with the childminder and that’s even after milk in the morning.

He wakes at 6am and we leave around 7:05am. Has 6oz when he wakes but then is seemly hungry looking for snacks before we leave. The only issue is, he’s a fussy eater and won’t sit and eat fruit etc so struggling to think what I can give him that’s suitable.

Any fussy eater suitable ideas of what I can make or get him to snack on whilst we finish getting ready to get out the door?
