Long latent labour phase (3 days already)?

Hi there, I started experiencing contractions on Sunday (when I was 39+4) which were happening every 4-5 minutes but were never super intense and never exceeded 45 sec each. They then appeared to ease off during the day to around one every 15 min (but the cramping never really stopped completely) and picked up at night; it’s been on repeat up until today (my due date). I have also been losing my mucus plug gradually all this time, but the waters are intact. This is really exhausting as I only managed to get a couple of hours of interrupted sleep in the last three days. Has anyone experienced this? Is this the prodromal labour or a very slow latent phase of real labour?

Hi, this is exactly what I experienced, my first contraction was early Tuesday morning, my LO came Friday morning. It was really hard, my only advice is to try and carry on as normal I know that'd really hard. But make sure you're eating well and drinking plenty, take warm baths and short walks. Look after yourself and try to enjoy the feeling of knowing your one step closer 🥰🥰

thanks! So after having these almosto non-stop mild cramping your contractions finally turned into active labour on Thursday night?

I’m currently on my 3rd day of this as well! It’s absolutely exhausting. Thought yesterday it was progressing as the pain was getting a lot worse and a lot more frequent but stopped at around 2:30am this morning 🥲 so frustrating xxx

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

Almost 37 weeks + told to do another growth scan

I just had my second to last doctor’s appointment this morning, and my OB told me she wants me to do another growth scan because my belly is measuring small. She says it’s probably just because I’m a smaller woman, but they like to be safe. It’s hard to hear though, since I just did one a couple months ago.

I did this with my firstborn around this time of pregnancy, so I do think I just carry smaller (even though I don’t feel like I look “small” at all). My first baby was 6lbs 15oz when she was born at 41 weeks + 2 days. I’m having this baby at 39 weeks on April 7. I hope she’s still at least 6lbs.

Anyone have any stories similar to this?
