We're TTC and my husband ejaculates every time I'm on top. I think we'd give the swimmers a better chance if in missionary, but I don't want to kill the passion/romance by telling him when to do it 🫠 did anyone get pregnant in these positions? Do you have any advice on what I can do post-ejac to help our odds?

Yeah lol absolutely. Pregnancy doesn’t just happen from missionary, doggy, etc. I got pregnant riding.

Yes we did.
You can push it further in there manually and you can lay there afterward with your hips elevated so it stays in for longer.

I read you have the best chance if you orgasm, (opens the cervix or something? I dunno, google it) so do what works for you girl! I also used to lie down for a while afterwards , just to give them a helping hand (not sure on the science of that though haha)
thank you for sharing, it gives me so much hope xx

Yes you can get pregnant in cowgirl. The sperm just has to reach your cervix which it can do in any penis in vagina position. No need to lay down after or anything, it gets where it needs to pretty immediately.

Only 10% every stays up there anyways. 90% is supposed to come out. It doesn’t matter what position you’re in. It won’t change that.
that is the most angelic looking monster I'd ever seen!!! 🥹🥰 Thank you for the tip, I'll start doing that and hopefully I'll have an angelic little monster of my own 🤞🏻🤞🏻
are those swimmers still alive if they were out in the air? I might need to give this a Google search but wanted to see if you had the answer before I got my 🧐 on
I have multiple almost every time, we've been trying for over 4 months now and didn't get lucky yet 🥲 but I do get up to clean myself almost immediately because the swimmers slip out pretty quicky whenever I'm on top, but I'll start laying down for some time in hopes there are some still left swimming 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
that's scary to hear because that would mean my eggs just don't want to accept company 🫠🫠 we've been trying for over 4 months now and we previously conceived from the first try in missionary
oh wow really!!? That sounds like such a reassuring piece of info, I could cry from happiness 😅😅🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 thank you for sharing

He’s my world and best part about it is normally I finish when I’m on top but 1st time ever trying and I didn’t finish my husband was so upset that I didn’t finish little did he know we had just made our miracle baby, we’re just waiting for a letter to see the diabetic team at the hospital and then we’re trying for baby number 3 . Wishing you all the best x

It can take up to a year for healthy couples to conceive. Conceiving on the first try is not the norm. Are you tracking ovulation?

You can lie down flat with your pelvic raised. Sperms can live up to 10 days inside you, any one of those can become a winner. Good luck!
I hope you're getting the good news in the post any day now 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🥹 good luck with bubba NB 3 and I hope you're getting to enjoy your family of 4 until then 🤞🏻🤞🏻🥰
I have only considered the ovulation strips recently and we've just been on holiday so I didn't have a chance to place an order yet. I think I might be ovulating now due to slight body temp rise 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
thank you 🙈🙈🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻❣️

They are definitely still alive. That’s how people do at home insemination, where the sperm is placed into a container and then placed inside a woman. You can also use a menstrual cup or cervical cap to help keep the sperm inside you.

yup. My daughter was conceived with this method. Into a cup then the syringe.

Ride. Let him finish. Clench cootchie. Then lay your head off the bed so you are upside down. 😂 don’t know if that will work but it sounded good.

I conceived my son in doggy and my daughter in cowgirl.

There’s actually no hard evidence to say that specific positions or lying flat increases your chance of getting pregnant. If the sperm is there, it should go where it needs to.

@incognito Your temp usually drops and then rises/shifts to show ovulation

I would definitely invest in ovulation strips. While body temp is a good indicator, ovulation strips will help you track your LH levels more specifically. A women’s ability to conceive every cycle is only 20% and you can leave a lot to chance if you miss your ovulation. Also, some women have rapid onset ovulation and some have gradual. Once you start to see a rise in LH, have sex in the 5 days before ovulation, day of, and day after to increase your chances.
I've ordered the strips now, but I've not done the research on how to use it. I've found your comment most helpful, thank you for taking the time to leave the comment 🙏🏽🙏🏽❣️

So for the ovulation strips, second morning urine works best. I usually tested around 10 AM. You want to test as close to the same time each day as possible. You will ALWAYS have two lines on an ovulation strip because we always have some of that hormone in our body, but the test line will be faint if we are not ovulating. Just before ovulating we will have an increase in the hormone. Some women have a gradual rise, where you can observe the line getting darker for several days before they get a positive, and some have a quick rise where it goes from negative to blaring positive overnight with no warning. If you have regular cycles I recommend to start testing twice daily once you think you're close to ovulation to ensure you don't miss your positive. Some people are confused about positive vs. peak. A positive is when the test line is AS dark or darker than the control. A peak is the darkest your test line will get, darker than the control.

You do NOT have to wait for peak, the indication for ovulation is simply a positive test and you are likely to miss your window altogether if you wait for peak instead. Once you get your positive you will ovulate 12 to 48 hours later. If you have a gradual rise I'd have sex every other day to ensure best chances, and you want to continue this until at least a few days after your positive OPK.

I’m a big fan of the PreMom brand of ovulation strips and the accompanying app. It allows you to take a photo of your test strips and it guesstimates your LH levels and you can easily see the rise in LH on the strips from day to day. It will also give you recommendations on when to have sex based on your specific ovulation pattern (rapid vs gradual). When I was trying to conceive, I tracked from a week after my last period to just get an idea of my specific ovulation pattern. I conceived with both of my kids on the second cycle after starting to track.

I second this, but it’s also good to track BBT and CM in conjunction with ovulation tests, you get a better understanding of your cycle and body.
