So my partner called me in to check out a new song they found. It was a metal version of itsy bitsy spider. I asked where they found it and they said one of their friends had sent it to them and claimed that the song reminded them of my partner. So I asked how come and my partner told me it was because they were talking about being clingy toward certain people like friends, family, our kids, etc. I said oh okay but you’re not clingy toward me tho. And my partner said yeah but it’s nothing for you to take personal. So I finished the conversation and then left room shutting the door and when I was a good distance away I just started crying because of what they said and it made me feel like I wasn’t important to them. I’m 26w pregnant and I want to know if it was just my hormones making me cry or if it was justified, because I was really really hurt.

Honestly, i would've felt the same way. Sometimes, people don't realize that what they say really affects us, especially when pregnant as the hormones are RAGING. My hubby called me a cow (in a very joking way) for the first few weeks pp before i started just bawling one day. Once he knew I wasn't taking it as a joke he stopped immediately and hasn't said it since. I knew he was joking and didn't mean it in a negative way, but it still hurt.
I say talk to your partner. It is important they know and understand how it made you feel

he shouldn’t have said it at all I’m so sorry
