Please help š„² my daughter is 1.5 years old now and Iām still feeling as if I have postpartum depression and anxiety? My libido is non existent, I feel very drained and tried all the time even with a full nights rest. My anxiety is through the roof I donāt trust my in-laws to be alone with her much Iāve been called a helicopter mom more than I can count and all in all I just donāt feel like -me- anymore. I know a lot of these changes come with the job but something just doesnāt feel right? Iām worried maybe my hormones never balanced out but I donāt know if thatās a thing? Iām taking Prozac and itās helping a little but I just have no motivation other than fueling anxiety if that makes sense. I do everything for her every day and I love it but my relationship with my husband is rocky because I just donāt want to be intimate even though I do ??? Iām breaking out a ton. Hair is falling out. Stressed all the time. I know all of this I pushed through at first because I was prepared for postpartum as much as anyone can be but I feel like this is too long after to still be that? Please if anyone can share tips or thoughts on what might be wrong. I am trying to be the best mom I can be I just donāt feel like me

Girl⦠did I write this because Iām 100% on the same boat as you and completely lost on what else to do. Iāve been taking so many holistic things to try and help for 6+ months and nothing is helping š Iāve even started doing breath work and meditation and itās helps with some things like my anxiety but my libido and weight is still struggling HARD. I work out 4-5 times a week and avoid any kind of garbage foods too⦠Hormones are the worst!! Just letting you know youāre not alone and hopefully it all evens out soon

yes thank you!!! Iāve tried I feel most of the supplements to help and they just donāt Iāll definitely try breathing exercises to help calm me down and oh gosh I NEED to pick up working out more! Iām starting at just daily walks but I feel so out of it because Iāll be whipped at the end of it and in my head Iām screaming āgirl itās a WALKā š thank you so much for replying it really is nice to know itās not just me šš¤

Iāve struggled with several of these issues in the past. My guess is youāre getting minimal help from your doctor? If so, hereās my thoughts:
- go see an endocrinologist to get checked for thyroid issues. Oftentimes GPs arenāt properly trained to identify full thyroid issues as they only look at select markers in bloodwork. This could be a contributor to the tiredness.
- find a board certified naturopath physician or a functional medicine doctor that has good reviews and you like. It sounds like adrenal fatigue could also be something youāre dealing with. Traditional doctors donāt acknowledge adrenal fatigue but I can say from experience it is 110% real and after I got proper treatment my life changed for the better. You will unfortunately spend a lot of money up front to see these doctors initially as they donāt take insurance, but your health is 10000% worth the investment.
- consider regular acupuncture treatments for anxiety. Go to a reputable place and follow their protocols.

I got cutoff before due to length. Anyways:
- acupuncture: this eliminated my anxiety when I went all in and committed to it. I went weekly for a month and then tapered off gradually. Also cutting alcohol helps tremendously with anxiety.
- I donāt know you at all so could be totally off here (in which case disregard) but if you have any history of trauma or childhood trauma consider getting emdr therapy as thatās a total game changer to recover from it.
Iāve been in your shoes and I wish you the best in getting well! A proper naturopath/functional medicine doctor will be your best next step. You CAN heal if you believe you can and youāre willing to put in the work. The book āa mind of your ownā by Kelly Brogan changed my life and allowed me to heal from chronic depression and Iāve been depression free / no meds for 4 years since following her protocol.
