Had my 20 week scan today and they’ve said baby is measuring on the smaller size so we will be getting extra growth scans. Anyone else in the same boat? This is my first baby so I’m not sure what to expect, how this has happened or how to help her grow!! I honestly thought she would be measuring big if anything as I can’t stop eating 🤣

There is nothing you can do but it’s positive they’ve picked up on it early. My wee boy stopped growing at 24 weeks but it wasn’t picked up till he was born at 26 weeks 🙈

If it helps sometimes they’re not 100% accurate, my little boy was measuring huge expected to be 9/10lb… he was born at 38 weeks weighing 7lb 12😂 you might find that on your next scan she’s jumped up and is measuring normal

Apparently (?!) my son was ‘small’ (6lb10oz) and as such they’ve automatically put me on a risk-watch pathway of extra scans for this pregnancy and I’ve been prescribed daily aspirin which is supposed to improve blood flow to the placenta. It’s more a monitoring exercise and if they still have concerns after additional scans they may suggest additional tests or intervention! I’m just keeping everything crossed this one grows a normal size as I’m pinning hopes on either a home delivery or maternity unit. Fingers crossed for both of us that it’s just precautionary!

With my first she was measuring normal 7lb 8lb tops she was 9lb 1oz and was chubby, she skipped newborn clothes all together and went straight into 0-3 months so it’s hard to tell on the scans xx
