I'm wondering what other little ones nearly two consume in a day, foods and amounts, also drinks
I'm sure my baby boy 22 months isn't eating or drinking enough

Hard to say exactly
But I'd say a sample day is:
1 wheatabix with oat milk and a dairy free yoghurt
Peanut butter on toast, a few grapes, pack of crisps
Snack - some grated vegan cheese, and maybe a bit of apple or satsuma
Dinner - 10 Spoons of jacket potato and beans, and 2 homemade chicken nuggets with hidden veg
He breastfeeds - so maybe 5-8times in24 hours. And deinkslots of water.
My boy is so picky, but this is the best example day.other days aren't so good - more like a few crackers and some grapes here and there x

thank you, sounds good eater, I'd be happy with that.
My baby ate 6 grapes, 1 strawberry, three jaffa cakes, two quavers, a small pack raisins, five chips, bite of an egg, bite of a slice of ham, small cube cheese, thats it 😕

I offer him so many things each day different familiar etc
He breast feeds but he's so active and he doesn't get much milk from me when he does feed
He's in 12-18m clothes and lost weight, he is worrying me a little so might get him checked by GP

He's drinking water and juice too aswell as boob

this sounds a lot like my little boy!

what do you do...

My little one will eat
Weetabix/ shreddies/ cornflakes or shredded wheat for breakfast.
Lunch is usually
Soup/ eggs / toast/ beans/ waffles
Dinner is usually
Pasta/ shepards pie/ chicken pie/ salmon& rice/ rice and beans
These are the kind of things she will actually eat and like. Do still try different foods but she actually likes and eats these ones.
Fluid - she only drinks water. Sometimes will give her a strawberry milk(yazoo) or plain milk. Will sometimes have juice at a playgroup.
If hes noticeable losing weight though, does your midwife have a drop in weigh in group that you can go to ? Then get some advice with them or they can pass you onto a helpline for kids eating etc xx

Porridge/pancake/cereal and a banana for breakfast
Sandwich/toast/waffles fruit, crisps for lunch
Crackers/wafers/apple for snack
Waffles/chilli/hot pot/pasta and a yoghurt/yoghurt lolly for after
My little girl is really fussy and has multiple allergies so I use the wee tray meals for dinner Alot to make sure she's getting some veg as she won't touch any veg apart from peas and she spits most of them out anyway 🙃🙃🙃 xxx

I stick him to the things that I know he will eat but even now and then try to change it up by slightly. Eg. Different pasta sauce. Different meats

doesn't work for me, he seems to not want the usual ones he loved

God my little girl doesn't really stop eating in a morning.
She'll have cornflakes, followed by a few snacks, cheese, fruit (loves watermelon, banana, blueberries) sometimes a biscuit or 2 if she's complaining.
She'll then have lunch which is usually cheesy quesidillas, beans on toast or similar.
Sometimes she'll have an afternoon snack of fruit. Then her tea, which is usually what we're having
She doesn't drink milk at all, she'll have a few cups of water in a day.

What does my little one eat? The answer is: not much.
If we're lucky she has a bit of porridge or yoghurt for breakfast.
She sometimes eats some toast with Philadelphia (dairy free) and tomato. Or bread sticks with hummus (although she really only eats the hummus and uses the bread stick as a spoon).
She likes peas and corn and sometimes some rice cake or dry pasta. And she often eats fruit. But no proper meal.
We still have to breastfeed a lot...

@Steamtrane Family it's such a worry isn't it... I commented on your other post... but its taken a lot to get here, and will only eat if really distracted (not at a table) but he lost weight and had dietician, paediatrician and ENT looking into reasons for not eating. He is loads better and now eats, but the exact same thing every day.
I recommend vitamixin vitamins to put in liquid or soft foods, that means I know he's getting vitamins he needs. If he's iron deficient which he might be due to eating difficulties, it can suppress appetite. My boy struggled to swallow due to enlarged adenoids, and vomited a lot due to multiple antibiotics and multiple food allergies. Now it's all under control, eating is a lot easier. Keep pushing for support and good luck ❤️

It’s so hard to compare one baby to another. If you’re concerned contact the health visitor. It might be helpful to get a weight and height for him so that when you speak to someone you have some objective information xx

Breakfast: overnight oats or porridge
Snacks: Half a punnet of blueberries 🙈
Mini cheddars
Lunch: don't be a silly mum, I run on air.
Afternoon snack: yoghurt, more berries, maybe some dry toast if I don't look directly at her when I give it to her.
Dinner: 3 bites of whatever I've made with a lot of negotiating and pleading. A yoghurt and some 2 day old Cheerios she found on the floor.
This is our typical day, some days are better than others but I try not to worry too much. She is strong and healthy.
I read that toddlers don't actually need a lot of calories in a day and it's better to look at what they eat over a week.

I'll give today's meals
1 Weetabix with whole milk and 1/2 round toast with butter
Sweet and sour pork with rice prawn cracker yoghurt and fruit
5oz breast milk and a cracker with soft cheese
Beef stew and 1/4 dumpling, yoghurt, 1/2 banana and ellas kitchen melty buttons
6oz breastmilk
We leave water available l day he drinks probably 2 cups

this is my son too. It worries me sick

I'm worried too to be honest.
I'm not sure if she's just picky, gets too much breast milk or really doesn't need that much.
I can recommend the book 'my child won't eat'. It helps a bit when worrying too much.
