I have a boy. At a year we started sitting him on the potty everyday sometimes we would catch something most times nothing but we just got him used to it. Then we started to let him run around the house naked and with potty’s in the living room and bathrooms we would bring him to try often but only while home. Then we gradually started to just ask him to go when he was naked. We did this from about 18months to 2 years old then we put pull-ups on and showed him how to bring them down and up and one day he started waking up with a dry diaper so that was when I was like okay he’s ready to go further so we started to only put diapers on at night but all day was no diaper and just pants he was going on his own to the potty by two he was just struggling with pulling bottoms down and bringing back up. Then around November we just put a potty in the trunk and he was not wearing a Diaper in the car any more but I would have to pull over every 10 minutes for potty breaks that only took less…

Than three days. We got some puppy pads and put them under his sheets at the same time and we just took him to potty before bed (7pm, then around 10pm and then he potties when he wakes up on his own. ) we didn’t put any pressure on him we just didn’t put a diaper on and let him watch us use the potty most mornings we would sit him on his potty the whole time we did our morning routine.

Eh my girl has been showing signs of being ready since 1.5. But she’s do it once on the potty then refuse. We’re trying to focus on it more currently since we have another coming and she did great for one day , had a accident which we didn’t make a deal about and the next day she’s refusing to even be left naked and that she scared of the potty 🫠🫠
But she’s so ready she’s even trying to help me wipe when I’m going, she’ll tell us when she pees or poops (mostly ) but we’re trying to push it to hard but a few months without changing a diaper sounds really nice 😂😩

I haven’t started. I’m about to. I have my other ones trained (2020 and 2021) I just finished training my July 2021 baby so I’m right on track. I don’t train them when they’re 2. Ik every kid is different but all mine haven’t been ready until way closer to their 3rd birthday and I’m assuming the same for my son cause he definitely isn’t ready yet.

We followed the "oh crap" book and it worked like a charm. Mostly been great for months, but suddenly having a few accidents now 🙈

We followed the “Potty Training in 3 Days” book by Brandi Brucks ($6 on Amazon) and my son was potty trained in less than a week. Within a week and a half he was telling me when he needed to use the potty and he has had very few accidents. Best of luck!

Mine has days where she doesn’t have a single accident and days where she doesn’t use the potty once. it’s more it’s about 60/40 right now. But she does go in herself when she has to go which is huge! That’s a new development over me constantly asking her

I hope this poll lets you know that you’re not the only one and that’s ok 👍 We’ll know when our little one is ready

Yes except for bedtime. We started at 18mnths. Long ride but stay consistent! Activities/books/snacks helped with potty training. Also used cloth diapers which helped I think and then transitioned to briefs

Post partum dad

I have a 2 month old. A few weeks ago my husband crashed out because he didn't feel like he was getting to bond with her. I started exclusively breastfeeding around that time and honestly didnt see the big deal. Baby and I left for a few days and when we got back home, everything was fine. He was extremely hands-on. He helped with my meals, her bedtime, bath, stories.....for a few weeks it was great. Then he randomly sounds depressed af. He says our lo is better off without him, he wants to sleep all day , he asks me not to watch tv then tried playing a video game. He refused to reply to me when i asked any follow-up questions. Then he woke up our baby trying to race me to the bathroom first thing in the morning . He's doing a weird mix of crying, trying, and giving up. Im starting to feel like I cant handle him not being able to handle life with baby and just want to be alone. Are there resources for men?

My friend is over from another country but I don't feel like leaving the house

One of my old friend's is visiting where I currently live and we agreed to meet up today but I feel so tired and exhausted from everything that's been going on with me. I feel if I meet her I'm going to end up having another breakdown from the exhaustion which I have been having often. I'm just thinking about how I need to rest to be able to deal with my toddler and go back to work on Monday without feeling like I need another weekend. I'm torn on what to do so I need you guys to help me decide

Weaning

Hello mamas, could I get some advice please with how and what to wean as started this week with my baby but not really what to give and when what time day. Have started with puree vegetables and making them myself and offering it in the evening to my baby but she tends to get irritated and tired and has a few spoonfulls and then gives up and has a meltdown. So I’m questioning myself am I feeding her wrong time of day and what’s best to mix the food with milk or baby rice please.

Do I need to pay anything when my child starts school in September

I'm a new mum and obviously didn't grow up in the uk. I currently pay roughly £640 for nursery fees. I'm wondering if my expenses will reduce when my LO starts school or there'll be other expenses (besides bags, uniform etc) will my expenses be anywhere close to £600 monthly?

People telling you your baby is hungry..

I know people don’t always mean it in a bad way and are trying to relate, but when people say my baby is hungry when chewing his hands. I feed him regularly. He eats pretty much every 2 hours. He isn’t hungry, he just loves chewing and exploring his hands. Or they say something about teething, which it is also not, as he isn’t unsettled with it. I have looked into it myself and can be common and neither of those things! He has done it most of the day since 2 months old.
