Hello ladies, in two months time I must go back to work and my little girl doesn’t want to feed from the bottle at all.
Also my husband hasn’t had the chance to feed her yet and is kinda blaming me , as we haven’t tried hard enough introducing the bottle 😒
Do you have any tips ?
She drinks water from a bottle but not milk 😩😩

I use a free flow cup! I personally don’t see the point in offering a bottle now if they recommend weaning then off at 12 months

How old will she be when you go back to work? X

She will be 9 months , so she will still need breast milk or formula x

Use a beaker/cup. I'm in the same boat as you and there's almost not much point weaning her onto a bottle just to wean her off in a few months when she's 1.
We started using water in a beaker alongside weaning and I'm going to try milk next as she's getting on well with the little tommee tippie weaning beaker. And she will NOT take a bottle/dummy etc. So I'm holding out hope x

Hi Alison, I tried earlier this evening with exactly the same cup ,it looked like it was working for the first 10 seconds and after that she started crying and refused to drink .
I guess I just have to keep trying ?😩😩😩

Yes do xx
My girl was disgusted that I was giving her something other than boob in the beginning lol Try and get a bit on her lips. Good luck girl, I know how stressful all of this is especially with the pressure of returning to work in the back of your mind x

Thank you 🙏🏻 I will keep trying , and yes it is soo stressful 😩 xxx

my son just didn’t take milk in the day when i worked at 9.5 months. He fed before and after and a LOT throughout the night but was happy on water and food at nursery. But what worked for us yhis time with my daughter was exploring different temperatures and positions over a period of time - she was much more relaxed lying in a side position (almost similar to how I’d breastfeed like this https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGd6jpwG2/) and needed a hot bottle, warmer than my milk is naturally.
We also let her explore playing with the teat before offering a bottle, then offered every day for almost two weeks before she eventually took it. For us Dr Browns was best but I know all babies are different. Xx

Thank you so much Lesley , I will definitely try offering the milk at a different temperature.
Xx
