I give my girl whole rigatoni tubes and she nibbles away /sucks on them xxx

is this from the solid starts app?

Ye xx

awww super cute pic but I am terrified to this maybe in a few months. Glad it’s working for you x

I give my daughter spirali pasta, it's nice and big and is literally spiraling in a way that she can easily pick it up without it slipping. She takes bites and swallows some and spits the bigger bites out into her bib. I serve it with a simple homemade tomato sauce or homemade pesto (both no salt). I serve some veg and/or fruits with them on the side like steamed carrots and broccoli, melon, orange wedges, etc. She also loves pasta mixed with some greek yogurt and a bit of dried mint.

I give my boy whole rigatoni tubes too. With sauce or pesto x

what is it you're terrified of? Honestly barely anything actually goes in her mouth 🤣 she holds it and sucks off the sauce, she's just now starting to chew it a little, but while holding onto it. And she LOVES broccoli florets!

I don’t want her to choke to be honest I might be being extra but I am going to try some tubes and sauce x

the research actually suggests that there's no higher choking risk between solids and purées, given that of course both are prepared safely according to what's recommended for baby's age. There's a good BLW book for introducing solids called Simple & Safe Baby-led weaning. You can pick it up for under £5 from World of Books and it's quite handy!
