How do we stop the nipple shield falling off?

I have a medela nipple shield and I spend half my breastfeeding experience picking it up because it either fell off or my little one hit it off. It’s making me hate breastfeeding but my nipples are flat so I need one

I’m also annoyingly using shields for other reasons. And the minutes it gets milk under it it slides around so much. So so frustrating. Someone showed me if you fold it back a little as you put it in then it makes abit of suction. That used to help loads but doesn’t work as well anymore.
I tend to hold it in place until she’s drinking nicely. If she’s fussing and going on/off it’s a nightmare

I used the Mam shields and folded them back to put them on which created a vacuum around the nipple. He would sometimes hit it off but 9/10 it would stay on. I also found that using nipple cream made the shields more slippery which caused them to fall off more frequently so if you are using the cream just pop it on the nipple and avoid the areola as much as possible. Hope this helps ❤️

Have you tried putting a little breast milk on the sides, let it dry a bit,and then putting it on? That helped me when I used shields. I also always felt with my finger underneath whether it wasn't wrinkled, which could cause leaks.

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

Am I wrong?

I’ve been wanting to add more garden beds to my garden. Husband says “hey do you want to go to Home Depot to get that wood for the garden beds.” Cool I’m excited I’ve been wanting to get this done for awhile.

We get there and we’re picking out wood and I make 2 comments about how I don’t like how 2 pieces of wood look that he picked out. And he says if you’re going to be this picky then u can do this yourself.

I literally made 2 comments and mind you I’m the one paying for the wood.

I felt dismissed and like my opinion didn’t matter and if I wanted to have an opinion then I need to do it myself. Like what?

It was rude and not okay. Am I wrong? Am I overreacting?

He thinks it was fine that he said that.

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
