Has anyone given their babies a dummy yet?? I was trying to hold off but he’s struggling with wind like my first so at day 12 I finally gave him a dummy 😂 please don’t judge!

I'll be giving one from day 1. SCBU literally asked for one with my first baby 😊

I wondered about a dummy to help settle her at night time but I'm breastfeeding and don't want to cause any confusion as we're only 6 days in! Thinking about holding off until 4 weeks if we can

Dummies have been found to reduce the risk of SIDs, I tried offering from day 1 but my LO didnt take to it straight away. When I came home she started to use it and its helped a lot ☺️ xx

Yup I gave her a dummy in the first week, it’s great to use in the car to settle her. Sometimes it settles her to sleep too

I have and im breastfeeding, hasn’t caused any issues and sometimes it is the only thing that settles him when i have tried everything else x

I’m at the end of day 2 and we’ve just given one a few hours ago. He’s like a different baby totally chilled will go in his noses basket for the first time and didn’t cry on his last change. The midwife told me they don’t recommend it but I did some reading and was happy to go for it
