Do I need a carry potty?

Currently potty training 2.5 year old, just wondering am I going to need a carry potty for trips out the house? Do you have any recommendations if so. Thanks in advance ☺️

I carry around the ones that go straight onto the toilet. Its more easy to carry around and just so he gets used to going in other settings other than home. He never liked the potty.

We just have a fold up toilet seat. We do have a normal £7 ikea potty in the car if needed, but anywhere else we just work with the toilets they have.

Which carry potty seat do you use?

I didn't use one with my eldest he was an only child and my life revolved around him and only him so was less busy and being a boy I was able to get him to wee behind trees in emergencies so didn't need one. With my daughter she was always very good at pre warning me and able to hold on well so I didn't need one. With my youngest, my life is more busy with my two other children with their various commitments each, school runs and I spend more time out and about and more time waiting around if I didn't have it I'd be worried. He is able to hold on well, he can be out for 4/5hours without him needing to go but he doesn't tell me until he's bursting, I don't think he could wait 30minutes for me to find a toilet he also won't wee standing up. We toilet trained over Christmas and only used our carry potty maybe less than 10x and we're out everyday so it isn't needed often but I appreciate that peace of mind, we have a bag of spare clothes incase of accidents and not needed to use them thanks to the carry potty.

We carry ours everywhere we go. We will use it in public bathrooms otherwise very helpful if needed in the car or out and about with no bathrooms. We have a my carry potty and they’re great

We have a ladybird one from John Lewis. Have carried it everywhere since 2yrs old. So handy when outside or far from a toilet. He now carries it into a cubicle to go. We will look to get a toilet insert but I find the potty far more hygienic when learning and little. They pop under the pram and are neat and tidy
