I’m on Lamotrigine twice again day but I feel so nauseous after i take them. Is anyone else on it and feeling nauseous or has any tips that have helped?

I haven’t taken it for a long time but it used to make me nauseous. A dr said to make sure I was drinking enough as it used to give me headaches too and I think that was dehydration. I was also told to try and take it with food if it made me feel sick.
I can’t remember if either of those things worked tbh… and I’m on keppra now. But 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I used to be fine taking it and was fine with my first pregnancy. I’ll give both of those a go thanks! Kepra gave me night terrors. Hope you’re getting on well with it!

KEPPRA is the only thing that I’ve ever managed to stay seizure free on. The exception being during pregnancy as the dose wasn’t enough and had to be upped. So I did lose my driving license 😕 but I’m hoping I’ll get it back in 9 months or so 🤞🏻
I’ve never had a problem with night terrors. I struggle a bit with weight gain on both. But a few extra pounds that won’t shift vs seizures - I know which one I’d rather have!
Hope it works out for you. If you’re pregnant right now it could also be the multivitamins making you nauseous. If you’re taking them. Some brands (pregnacare for me) seem to cause worse nausea than others and if you take them at the same time as your lamotrigine you might not even realise it’s them doing it.

I’ve had to begin taking mine with a small snack! I’m up to 300mg twice a day, which is way more than when I found out I was pregnant! Definitely worth speaking to your epilepsy specialist if it gets worse! Xx
