Dwayne Wade just came out and spoke about his experience getting diagnosed with kidney cancer and the minor symptoms that led to his diagnosis. Things that a lot of men would ignore (random abdominal cramping, a slower flow of urine) but he was tuned into after seeing his own father deal with prostate cancer.
Married and partnered men live longer because their female partners "nag nag nag" them about their health. See a doctor for that random thing that's been bugging you that you just shrug off. Get a check up. Please don't use duct tape and super glue on that gaping wound and go to the ER. Blah blah blah. They wait too long to get seen and then by the time they eventually do, they face a worse prognosis.
I find that using other men taking their health seriously is a way to encourage the men I know to take their health more seriously, without it coming across as "nagging."

I love sports ball š my husband was having a lot of issues with digestion and stuff and kept putting it off. He saw colon cancer is on the rise for younger men and got checked out. Luckily it wasnāt anything too serious he just had a few allergies he didnāt know about. After diet changes heās doing so much better and has now turned into the nagging guy for his friends lol

I feel like this was very well written

thank you! When I'm not busy being a "man hater," I actually do care about the good men out there and want them to have happy, healthy lives

I had a friend in his mid 30s currently going through colon cancer treatment. And I'm so glad he's looking out for his friends too! Sometimes they really do listen to other men more than us š I love when bros take care of their bros

Treatment is no joke š®āšØ Iāve had three family members with colon cancer and one was extremely open about her recovery. Iām sending him all the good vibes!

real wrestling or pageantry wrestling? Head wounds can bleed a lot, which can be scary! And I hope he's up to date on his tetanus shots

I think my husband has a new appreciation for the dr after my own health issues. But this is a great idea.
