My partner says I nag to much but what is nagging to be exact, I ask for help with something he say he will do it then the next day it's still not done then he says you can't help but to nag but I just don't get what I'm doing wrong. I get that he is tired from work so am I but I need help with the house responsible as well, just need advice what I can say or do better,

My partner does this same thing to me, i don’t think im nagging when he literally doesn’t listen and i have to keep repeating myself

Nagging imo is the repetitive repetition of trying to get someone to do something. This will be asking more than 2 times and in a short amount of time. The definition says:
constantly harassing someone to do something.
Harassment is defined as the action of subjecting someone to aggressive pressure or intimidation.

I started getting more specific "hey can you take out the trash sometime before we go to bed?"
@DaiJeean this right here! I thought I was the only one! It's so annoying I won't be nagging if you just get it done,
okay & how many times do you have to say it before he does it?

Have you asked him what ways would work that aren't nagging? How often is he forgetting things?

It’s only nagging if I have to ask twice.
“Hang the laundry up” - oh look you did it therefore I don’t have to keep repeating myself 😂😂

I ask the specifc one time and then the next time would be if we are literally headed to bed and it isn't done. "Hey don't forget to take out the trash before you come to bed."
@Heather we had a conversation he works alot so he just be tired & sometimes it will be days where he forgets but he apologize & I told him I got it this time & we move on

If it's not a consistent problem then I'd definitely keep the communication open about it. If he doesn't want you to "nag" and asking x amount of times to him is nagging ask 1 time fewer. And 2 times is not nagging the second time is just the reminder. Now if it's a consistent issue then I'd be looking into different solutions such as a chore chart, alarms on his phone, calendar reminders, etc that he himself can set up. It's hard. I have horrible memory problems so I've had to become creative in how I go about life.
thank you so much I truly appreciate it❤️

I learnt that everything in the house has a name, yours and your husbands. For eg.
Rubbish - him
Laundry - you
Change bed linen- him
And so on. So there’s no need to ask it’s clear.
Slowing your speech down helps. I want to recommend you to search for Jefferson Fisher on YouTube. It might give you some ideas
