After 5 days, I would think it would be darker, but i don't know how much water you consume. If you drink a lot, then that can contribute to it being lighter. I wish you the best!

I would think it would be darker. Contact your doctor about getting a beta hcg. You'll need to know if it's doubling every 48 hours. You'll want to rule out an ectopic. I had a slow rise, but they couldn't see the pregnancy in my tube, and it ruptured. Chemicals are another reason for low hcg. Definitely see a doctor to be sure. I hope it's neither one of those issues and that it turns out to be a healthy pregnancy for you.

Try a different test, like first response or a walmart cheat red dye.
