Gender reveal

We want to do a gender reveal with our family to all find out together. If we tell this to the sonographer at our 20 week scan, will they write the gender down for us and put it in an envelope if we take the paper and envelope?

I think it depends on your hospital because I know some hospitals are happy to do that and other hospitals will say no. We done ours with window to the womb with my son and they did it separately when we said we wanted to do a gender reveal but I know our hospital wouldn’t of done that at our 20 week scan which is why we paid for a gender scan and will do again with this pregnancy

My hospital have said on the letter they won't write down the gender, we'd just be told so I'd check with your hospital :) a private one would write it down though xx

I think you have to go private for this. It can be expensive but they do different packages so you can buy balloon and cannnons or get the reveal during the scan. The NHS can be quite funny about revealing the gender, I remember when they told me it was almost like an afterthought so I was happy I went private and could be properly excited about it x

Most hospitals won’t do this anymore as they are very specific about the 20 week scan not being a gender scan, it’s a wellbeing scan and if possible they will tell you what the gender is most likely to be. Unfortunately people have tried to sue hospitals before when the gender has been wrong so most will not do this anymore due to liability. If you have a private scan they will x

Hospital bag (UK)

What did everyone pack for their section? I'm staying in for 3 days due to mental health, not really sure what I'll need to bring, feeling very nervous. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.

Reduced movements

26 weeks and haven’t really felt little baby all day, she’s usually super active & I have a posterior placenta so I feel her all the time usually. I did feel her ever so briefly earlier right down into my pelvis. I was at maternity triage the other night with tummy cramps but everything was fine and so was baby. What should I do? I don’t want to feel like a nuisance?
