Hi, first time mum and traveling on holidays next month, baby will be 5 months. Flying with easyJet from Belfast to dalaman turkey and then getting transfers to marmaris.
Can you take a car seat onto flight? If so is there only a specific car seat? Or can any be taken? How does a baby sleep on a flight? I know you hold them on your lap when taking off and landing but what about sleeping? Do you think we can buy an extra seat?
Also regarding with transfers, it’s over an hour of travel, via bus , however can you hold baby again? Or is car seat needed?
If anyone has experienced this before I’d love to hear what you did to make my life a bit easier 🤣

You check your car seat in to the hold for free, get a car seat bag from amazon and you can pad it out with nappies and wipes for extra padding, they dont weigh them as its oversize luggage. You can do the same with your pram. We did it for the pram but didnt bother with a car seat as we werent hiring a car, just taking a shuttle bus so baby sits on your knee just like a bus at home. If you are hiring a car that may change which car seat you need, but for the plane it doesnt have to be a specific one. You can’t get a plane seat for the baby unless you pay for a full price extra seat. They just sit in your lap/arms during the flight. We went last year with our 8 month old and she was fine in my arms to nap and then sit on our knee. Best to bring a wrap baby carrier for walking around

When i took my 5 month old to lanzarote i never took a car seat - but you can if you wish, it gets checked with luggage/prams & most airlines do this free when an infant is travelling.
You can just hold them on the transfer - or you could book private transfers and have a carseat in them which is what we did from airport & held him if we got taxis anywhere!
My little boy slept in my arms - we were lucky on the way home to have a free seat - you can call and book one i think if you want to pay for it!
I opted for a cabin approved pram for my LB which was a lift saver to have the pram on us and not have to wait for it to come out of the hold! - we flew jet2 tho so not sure how strict eaayjet would be on bringing it as hand luggage x
