My left boob doesn’t always produce milk when pumping. Sometimes it takes 10-15 minutes before there’s any liquid then I feel like I have to pump for longer. I know boobs aren’t even but there’s been times when there’s been no milk at all after 20 minutes! Do I see a doctor? I combifeed so when I put baby on the boob how do I know he’s getting any milk?

I sometimes get this too! Maybe not for so long, but I find that hand expressing before pumping helps my supply, that and sitting forward slightly. Also, you’ll should be able to hear sucking motion and swallowing sound, this will show baby is getting milk. In the hospital, rule of thumb is 15 minutes or more on boob then it’s assumed they had a full feed, otherwise they need a bottle too up. But if baby is hungry, I’m sure baby will let you know! Hope this helps :)
