How long have you been married and do you still have your maiden name on some things?

I’ve been married for 5 years and haven’t changed my credit cards or passport. Yesterday my mom changed my account at the car dealership because she’s always the one to go take my car for maintenance and it confuses her 😂

Everything changed apart from passport..still got 4 years on it 🤭

Our 3 year anniversary is in 4 days. I had my name changed within a few months. But it did take me a couple of years to change my credit card

I still have my birth name on everything. I can’t be bothered changing my name 😂 I’m the only one w a different surname in the household lol. Kellie is my social name (lots of Vietnamese people give themselves a social name growing up coz Westerners can’t pronounce it lol) but yeah I haven’t changed my name after marriage. Out of procrastination mainly lol.

Never changed my name. These 2 higher education degrees are in my name. I like using my maiden name at work and my married name socially in my private life. I also love my maiden name, people call me it everyday.

I didn’t change my name. Our son’s name is hyphenated.

Been married for 7.5yrs, together for 15yrs. I changed my name on everything but there are a couple things I missed that I only recently noticed lol

I get overwhelmed anytime I think about the admin process of changing my name and everything. So still haven’t going 4 years 🙃

Been married for 5 years in September & I don’t think my maiden name is on anything.

1 year and had everything changed over except a singular credit card because I'm too lazy to call XD

Married 12 years, no name changes

Married 11 years this July. My husband made me change everything practically after the honeymoon. Wasn’t my intent to change my name and my mother put her two cents on it too The day he dies I’m changing everything back if I don’t go first 🤷‍♀️🤣

Never changed my name. Never will 😅

I kept my maiden name on everything and I don’t remember how long I’ve been married and too tired to do math lol

We have been married 7 yrs in June and everything but 1 credit card is changed a few vehicle titles are still in maiden name and my hunting license for some reason that state can't figure it out 🤣

Pretty much everything pre marriage has my maiden name on it 🤷🏾‍♀️

Only changed my name on a couple of bills but kept my maiden name on everything else. I like my name! Kind of common for women in my culture to keep their surname but socially would be addressed by husband’s surname.

I’ll be married for 7 years this summer. I never changed my name lol

Married for 3 years, change my last name to my husband but moved my maiden name to my middle.

24 years. And no.

Going on 3 years. I actually moved my maiden name to my middle. My wife also dropped her middle name and uses my maiden name as her middle. Our daughter has it as her middle too🤣 But everything is changed except for my credit card/debit card because 🤷🏾‍♀️🤣

Married 2.5 years. I never changed my name and I never will. And no it has never caused a problem once when it comes to my boys surname being different. His surname is the same as his dads.

We’ve been together 5 years now, marriage is in the cards after we graduate (saving up), but I’ll never change my name. That degree is mine, and it’s okay to be different people. Our daughter has both of our last names.

Changed my name on everything but I only changed my passport after 5 years when it needed renewing ☺️

6 years and I got rid of my maiden name as quickly as possible so it’s all in my married name 😂

Married 2 years and got most things changed but it's such a PITA. There's still some obscure accounts and my passport to change but I'm not planning on travelling yet and some of the accounts won't let me change it and I'm now locked out as my bank card doesn't match 🫠 Changed my driver's license though 👌🏻😂

Married 3 years and never changed my name

My driver's license expires this October, I'm lazy, I was just waiting to change my name til I actually HAD to

Been married 4 years this year and still haven’t changed on my legal docs, I keep meaning to and then I forget for another 6 months and the cycle continues 😅

The only thing that isnt changed is my credit card...my debit card is, but the bank just keeps putting my maiden name on my credit card and im not bothered enough to correct them 😂 Edit: married 6 years

4 years and my US passport still has my maiden name - as an expat living in the UK it makes things.. very complicated 🙈

Together 10 years. Married 4. Haven’t changed anything bc I can’t be bothered. I want to eventually. Maybe lol

Been married 8 years and I think it was all changed within a couple of weeks! Wanted rid of my maiden name ASAP

I think my maiden name is probably only on a couple of things now. I changed it over last year, but by then we'd been married 7 years.

Married 4 years. Passport is still in my maiden name, I'll change it next year when it needs to be renewed. I use my maiden name at work as its easier to spell when giving people my email

My names not legally changed yet but I plan to change every single thing. Only because I’ve always hated my maiden and I’m VERY excited to have the same last name as my child

It'll be nice not to have to spell out my 13 letter polish last name to people all the time
