Hi all
I’ve been diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy and the Drs have recommended expectant management for the time being (although my levels seem quite high - over 700).
Just wondering if anyone has any experience in this? Not sure if the better option would be just to get the injection/have surgery sooner rather than later.
Any replies would be massively appreciated

Hi I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It’s awful but you will get through it. I personally went for surgical management just because I had high levels still and bleeding and didn’t want to take the drug and not be able to try again sooner. My tube did burst before they could get me to surgery anyway but yeah. I personally believe there’s less risk of another ectopic happening because of tubal scarring if you keep the tube. I also fell pregnant 4 months after my surgery with my now 17.5 month old, which really surprised us as thought it would take a lot longer with 1 tube. I think though you have to do what feels right for you read all the risks and make an informed decision. Sending love and well wishes x
