Early labour?

Hey! Looking to see if anyone has experienced anything similar? I went in to hospital at 36+3 with contractions. I was kept in 3 days and had on and off contractions during that time. Some getting up to 65 on the toco reading. The midwives thought I was in early labour until they then just completely stopped. I was then discharged as I’m now 37 weeks so it’s safe for me to be at home to labour. It’s now been a couple days and then contractions haven’t resumed. I’ve had the occasional very strong tightening but that’s all. What could this have been and has anyone experienced anything similar? And did real labour follow on much after?

I'm experiencing the exact same!! Read about prodromal labour it sounds just like what I'm having. I have lost my mucus plug now though so maybe labour is on its way?

Did they check to see if you were dilated?

Same as me. Went in 36+4 for reduced movements but they saw i was having regular tightenings that got worse up to 100 on toco and soon 2-3 in 10 mins. Kept overnight in delivery but they died down especially after given pethidine. Stayed one more night as was having on off tightenings and they offered a 3rd night but I turned 37 weeks so said I'd prefer to labour at home however by the time I got home everything stopped..now 38+2 lost my mucus plug over a week ago and having braxton hicks which are rarely painful. It's so frustrating cause it was like go go go and now it's all stopped...so ready to give birth

I had something similar at 38 weeks for over a week, to the point where I was 1cm dilated, and my midwife was convinced baby was coming early. My darling daughter didn't arrive until 41+1 🙃

I had this at 32 weeks, regular every 2 minutes with toco readings over 100 but no dilation. Was also admitted for 3 days to make sure I didn’t dilate as was only 32 weeks. They told me I have an ‘irritable uterus’ which can be quite common and I’ll probably experience regular tightenings until I have baby, which I have but none have been painful enough/regular enough to be concerned x
