Baby kicks/ anterior placenta

HellošŸ‘‹šŸ¼

Just wondering what everyone’s experience was with baby kicks.

I’m 21+5 and haven’t felt any kicks yet, sometimes I get a weird cramp like feel or a sharp pain if I stand up (very rarely) but I haven’t felt any proper movement.

We had a scan 7 days ago and baby is absolutely fine!

First baby here and I didn’t begin to feel anything until 21 weeks and even then it was quite gentle. Now at 22 weeks and starting to feel more frequent and stronger little kicks morning and night. You’ve got until 24 weeks typically to start feeling baby but it’s even trickier with an anterior placenta from what I’ve gathered. I was really worried about not being able to feel any kicks from 18 weeks like others were able to but was reassured at 20 week scan when I had to keep getting up and wiggle because baby girl wouldn’t sit still long enough for the sonography to get any scan measurements 🤣

I had an anterior placenta too and for me, it was closer to 22/23 weeks before I started feeling proper movement, it's stressful waiting for it though!

I had anterior placenta and started feeling kicks after 24 weeks!

I have an anterior placenta and didn't feel proper movements till 24 weeks..However I was in hospital the other week because I couldn't feel movement again. There was another lady also in the waiting room because she couldn't feel movements (anterior placenta) and she was 28 weeks. It is different for everyone, please try not to worry or put a date on when you 'should' feel movements.
I look at it as my placenta is protecting the baby even more 😊 it's a big organ you're growing as well as the baby and cushions a lot of the kicks x

I didn't feel any proper kicks until maybe like 26 weeks. And still to this day my baby more rolls about and sticks his butt to one side, he doesn't kick much and I'm 36 weeks

Mine was much later too, more like 25/26 weeks and I was able to physically see baby kick my belly too and the skin move which was cool!

I had one with my first and I never really felt her kicks. It was very rare for me to feel her kicks and I would often end up in triage due to reduced movements x

I had an anterior placenta with my 3rd & started to feel movements around 16 weeks. It honestly didn’t make any difference, I know everyone is different

I’ve felt little movements since 13/14 weeks (this is my second so normal to feel earlier) and then didn’t feel anything for a while. I’m now 20+3 and feel lots of movement and wriggles but not strong kicks yet šŸ¤

I was about 22 weeks when I felt baby. Xx

I was around 22-24 weeks, I could also start to see them from the outside but it was very tiny xx

I didn’t feel anything till after 24 weeks x

I had an anterior placenta with my baby and I first felt something at 17-18 weeks, but I wasn’t sure they were kicks till about 20 weeks. At first they felt like a nerve twitch so I didn’t know that feeling was caused by the baby at first x

I didn’t feel anything until 24weeks

I had an anterior placenta and didnt feel proper movements that i knew for definite was baby until about 26 weeks and even then they were very soft movements. I struggled to feel her consistently throughout my pregnancy so was in triage a lot but all the midwives were extremely supportive and helpful and i have a healthy 5 month old now x

my placenta was at the front & it took ages to feel movement & i didn’t feel it often but she’s a healthy wriggly baby now she’s here!

I have an anterior placenta and felt flutters about 16 weeks and stronger kicks about 21 onwards, now 27 + 4 with very strong kicks and movement. Everyone is different though and don’t worry about tracking movement until 28 weeks :)

Avatar

22 weeks and 2 days I felt kicks

Avatar

I have an upper anterior placenta and didn't start feeling kicks until 23 +4 days. Since then, baby has kicked everyday throughout the day so it's pretty much as if a switch has been turned on in there!

Avatar

with my first, i felt the first kicks at 13 weeks which was rare!! then with my second, i was 20 weeks i think x

Hospital bag (UK)

What did everyone pack for their section? I'm staying in for 3 days due to mental health, not really sure what I'll need to bring, feeling very nervous. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.

Reduced movements

26 weeks and haven’t really felt little baby all day, she’s usually super active & I have a posterior placenta so I feel her all the time usually. I did feel her ever so briefly earlier right down into my pelvis. I was at maternity triage the other night with tummy cramps but everything was fine and so was baby. What should I do? I don’t want to feel like a nuisance?
