Eyes are closed. No crying. I have moved him into the bed with me when the thrashing just won’t stop. At first he slept soundly being in the bed. But now he’s back to thrashing. I feel his sleep pressure is appropriate. No extra long naps. Three ample spread throughout the day. He’s 4 months old. He’s not waking. Just split nights. We used to co sleep but then he would thrash. So we set him up in the middle of king bed. Then he thrashed. Then we moved to the bassinet. Thrashed but it didn’t disturb my sleep as much. But now I hear his grunts. And of course no other moms in my life ever had this issue. Anyone else??

We have the same exactly thing going on. Started with co sleeping now we’ve moved on to the bassinet and she sleeps until around 3am then is up. We saw the pediatrician yesterday and she actually said babies are supposed to have a night feed until 6 months. She suggested when our baby wakes at 3am to give her a small bottle to hold her over until morning. Haven’t tried yet as she slept through the night in her bassinet last night 🙌

It sounds like it’s not so much that he’s waking up but that he’s waking YOU up. Have you considered moving him to his own room?
yes we have, his room is crib ready. But I’m wondering if there’s anything I can do for him to sleep soundly. In case he wakes himself up. Which happens occasionally. But I’ve seen kiddos wake and fall back asleep. Maybe just have to gamble on his own room.

It’s so hard to know the right answer. All you can do is try different things and eventually something will work!
